Absolutely loved this tour! My dad & I embarked on the accommodated version of the 12 day Okavango Delta & Etoshia Express Safari and had the time of our lives. Our guide & team leader Pili Pili was a wonder, so efficient & knowledgeable and possibly the kindest, friendliest human I have ever met. He also cooked us the best fried chicken I have ever had. The amount of wildlife we saw was amazing, you will not be disappointed. The water hole at Halali was a surreal once in a lifetime experience. The food on our trip was simple but delicious & although our guides did most of the cooking it was expected that everyone help out prepping & cleaning up. The accommodations were all comfortable and warm showers were available at all but 2 nights. For those camping it was colder than anticipated so make sure you have adequate sleeping bags and warm clothes for at night. We definitely appreciated having a room with comfy beds after the long days. Especially with my dad who is 73, it was nice to not have to put up & take down a tent every day. The only difficulty I had was that a couple of the days were long driving days 10+ hrs. The trip covers a lot of territory & they are big countries so unless you’re spending a lot more money & flying it’s just something you have to do. If you have a bit more time, picking a tour that spends an extra night in places so that you have more time to take it all in would have been nice. The days are jam packed with early starts and late evenings. There was wifi pretty much everywhere, not always great reception but enough to check in with loved ones. We had a nice small group with only 8 guests so there was ample room on the tour bus & everyone had their own window seat to take in the scenery. Rest stops are mostly “bushy bushy’s” which basically means peeing behind a bush, so be prepared. Not sure how well it would work out if you had a bad tummy…. My only other suggestion is to use ATM’s. The instruction info said to bring US $$ which we did, but there were ATM’s that everyone was using and it was easier & more convenient than trying to change money over as each country uses a different currency. Also most excursions took visa and then you also don’t need to carry a big wad of cash around with you. I would highly recommend this tour. The people they have working for them are so amazing, they really go out of their way to ensure that you have your best vacation ever.

    • How secure is the payment method for the Adventure Pass?

Paying the Adventure Pass directly to the tour leader is secure and is the preferred method. Pre-payment options are available but are generally arranged via direct contact outside of usual booking platforms.

    • Are there any specific requirements for when the Adventure Pass needs to be paid?

The Adventure Pass must be paid in full on Day 1 of the tour or at the pre-departure meeting the evening before the tour starts. This allows the Tour Leader to make accurate reservations and bookings for activities included in the pass.

    • What kind of accommodation can be expected during the tour?

Accommodation during the tour is generally twin share. You will be paired with another traveler of the same sex unless you pay for a single supplement if available.

    • Can I decide on participating in Adventure Pass activities after the tour has started?

The Adventure Pass must be paid for and decided upon by Day 1 of the tour, as it affects group arrangements and activity bookings.

    • Are there any tours available without an Adventure Pass?

Yes, there are specific tours offered that do not require an Adventure Pass. These are marked differently in tour descriptions and it's noted whether the pass is optional or mandatory.

    • What is the role of the tour leader in relation to the Adventure Pass?

The tour leader is responsible for collecting the Adventure Pass fees, making necessary activity bookings, and ensuring all participants are accounted for in activities requiring the pass.

    • Is there an additional fee for being a single traveler?

There is no additional fee for being a single traveler. You will pay the published tour price and will share a twin-bed room with another single traveler of the same gender.

    • How much does the Adventure Pass cost for the tour and what does it include?

The Adventure Pass for the tour costs USD 390.00 per person, payable in USD cash to the Tour Leader on Day 1 of the tour. It includes specific park entries, activities, and excursions such as Chobe River Cruise, Chobe National Park, and Okavango Delta Excursion.

    • What happens if I do not purchase the Adventure Pass?

If you do not purchase the Adventure Pass, your time will be spent at leisure at the base camp while others participate in the included activities.

    • What are the hiking conditions like during the tour?

The walks or hikes during the tour are moderate-level, suitable for someone with moderate fitness. Your luggage is kept on the vehicle during the day and can be kept in your room or tent at night.
