- Jay· April 17th, 2024Fantastic introduction to Korean food and culture. This trip had a great mix of walking, eating and chillin. If you’re an expert in Korean food, this may not be the best tour since it’s an intro with slightly more western tastes in mind, but we did try exotic things like murder hornet soju! Haha everything was good and the group was awesome. Everyone got along well, and the guide Michelle made the tour go very smoothly. Some days were >20k steps so def being comfortable walking shoes. One thing to remember is that the dmz visit is not a part of the tour, and in general the dmz is not available on Mondays… so if adding on, you’d have to stay until Tuesday or do it Sunday before tour starts.Show moreIntrepid Travel commented on this reviewThank you Jay, for sharing your experience with us on your South Korea Real Food Adventure. - ABAndrew· September 25th, 2023I have way to many positive things to mention about this trip. First of all Jacob our tour guide went beyond being an amazing leader. The first few days by myself in in Seoul were overwhelming but having Jacob who knew what he was doing in the city made it feel like our group was part of the city, and we felt safe and comfortable walking the streets Jacob's amount of knowledge about the food , history and hidden gems made the days fly by. All accommodations and restaurants were fantastic. I absolutely recommend this tour. The only problem with the tour was that it ended too early. Because of this tour I am absolutely coming back to South Korea and hope Jacob can be my tour guide. Thanks for an amazing trip.Show moreIntrepid Travel commented on this reviewThank you for sharing your experience with us Andrew. - BFBert· September 5th, 2023excellent tour, exposed to many regional foods and customs. In addition to the organized parts of the tour, there were many optional activities that were very informative and more exposure to more regional foods and customs that greatly enhanced the tour experience.Show moreIntrepid Travel commented on this reviewThanks so much Bert for your glowing review! - NBNadine· October 12th, 2022The Tour was really great! Our tour guide Yong Park didn't hesitate to give us the best experience! He was the best! I highly recommend this tour as you're getting the history, culture and of course the taste of Korean Food. Absolute fabolous combination! The group was also amazing! One thing I need to say: The free time was extremly limited as we had a really tight schedule. Bare in mind that the tour is organised from A to Z. Yong tried to be flexible on the time schedule, which I and the group appreciated.Show moreIntrepid Travel commented on this reviewHello Nadine! Thank you for your review. - Clara· May 30th, 2022A fantastic trip with Yong as a great tour leader. A lot packed in to a short space of time. Good accommodation and great food. Some days had a little too much packed in and not always enough free time but everything was managed and adjusted as much as possible to help things go smoothly.Show moreTrip date: May 2022

- ALara L· September 18th, 20191. I especially enjoyed the local soups. Beef neck bone soup and bean sprout soup. The street food experience was okay, but too much food. 2. Would have been nice to try the octopus. 3. Choice of hotel in Gyeongju wa questionable. Sugar hotel seemed to be in the red light district but seemed well located for walking to all the sights 3. The busan hotel was pretty basic though clean. Seems a nicer hotel towards the end would have been welcomed. Though the Seoul hotel was very good 4. Guide was good and was flexible and patient when asked many questions. E did a great job keeping everyone happy 5. It would have been nice to know what the name of the park and it’s location was after the apple farm visit. Same for the temple by the sea on our way to busan 6. Temple stay was okay but much more physical than expected. The tour itinerary should be more clear on the physical activity required for the martial arts and the steep walk up the hill. I know everything was optional, but on a tour it’s hardnto miss opportunitiesShow moreTrip date: April 2019
