His encyclopaedic knowledge of everything and everywhere was frankly outstanding. As was his willingness to provide options, advise recommend but not ‘plamas’. Taking us slightly off the beaten track allowed us to see and experience so much more than a normal tourist. There was without doubt a lot of time spent on the modern minibus but that was unavoidable, the only way you could see and experience more would be by helicopter. - LSLexan· February 10th, 2025We booked the Rabbies Five Day Escape to the Southwest tour through TourRadar. The tour with Markus as the tour guide was excellent! Markus provided so much information about all of the areas we visited. When the itinerary needed changed it was so good to find other interesting places to go. He told stories and provided awesome music throughout our visit. We had made the journey to spread the ashes of my daughter’s father, and he was extremely caring to help with this. There was one negative. We were traveling with three people. We only needed one room, but TourRadar’s website would not allow me to book accommodations for 3 people in one room. We had to book one room for two people and a different room for one person, which definitely cost more money because of the single occupancy. When we arrived at each of our hotels, we were given one room that would accommodate three people easily and an additional room. The additional room was wasted, so the money was wasted. As soon as we checked in the first night and learned, we had too much room I contacted TourRadar to see if something could be done to cancel the additional nights extra room. They said they had reserved one room to accommodate two people in one room to accommodate one person, and that the hotel may have given the extra large room on their ownShow moreTrip date: February 2025

- JVJulia· October 26th, 2024The itinerary was just what we were looking for. Though the days are long, there is a good mix of group, individual and down time. Plenty of comfort breaks. Timing at each stop was just about perfect. We were disappointed to miss Dingle due to bad weather - it would have been nice to have had an alternative plan for bad weather days. Dan "the Man," could not have been better guide or driver. He's a renaissance man that is steeped in knowledge of everything Ireland. We learned so much from Dan about Irish history, geology, ecology, flora and fauna, literature, politics, religion, industry, and culture. When he wasn't educating us, he was entertaining us by reciting Gaelic poetry, singing beautiful Irish folk songs, and charming us with his delightful sense of humor. We had Dan as our Tour guide who was a true gem. We seriously couldn’t have met a nicer kinder man. He was a true story teller and his knowledge was incredible . He had a great sense of humor and generally cared about everyone in his group. Never a question he couldn’t answer and nothing was ever a problem for him.
