Loved the Uzbekistan tour! It was well organized, and the tour group size was just right. Lochin Juraev was an excellent guide and we had a wonderful experience visiting Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva to learn about the rich history of the country. Some suggestions: The hotel choices were good to excellent, and were located well. The madrasa stay in Khiva, while interesting to experience, had tight quarters for two people. We enjoyed the food and the marvelous fruit/produce. We did note that the food choices are somewhat limited for people who are vegetarians. A quicker way to get to either Bukhara or Khiva (rather than via long bus rides) would have given us more time in these two historical gems. Also, allocation of some down time to wander around in the historical areas/ do shopping would enhance the overall experience!
- by Soumitra GhoshExcellent tour, excellent guide Lochin. Well-planned and thoughtful itinerary.

A great mix of Silk Road splendours with rural retreat. Our guide Jamshed was superb and greatly facilitated our group’s interaction with the people, places and cultures we encountered. Samarkand was a dream come true and Bukhara a surprise highlight. Our group strongly recommend the hammam visit as a great bonding experience and u can’t go past a bottle of Shtoff vodka for the price of a beer!
- by Joanna DillonGreat trip! Saw great sights, stayed in very nice hotels (in general), and had great guides. My only negative comment is that there were a couple of days where they try to fit too much into the itinerary, so that we didn't eat dinner until very late (9:30 pm one night).

The "guide" assigned to us from Tashkent to Bukhara was more of just an escort than an actual guide. Even as a guide, he was just "so so". We only had a good guide with real local knowledge of the sights while in Khiva. Itinerary was excellent with lots to see. Our Hotels were all also very close to the major sights with good restaurants nearby. The transport vehicles and drivers were all very good too. As there were 3 of us, the vans provided were excellent.
- by Tomas HoI highly recommend this trip. If you're considering going, don't hesitate—just go and get ready to experience the magic of Uzbekistan. You'll find respectful, knowledgeable guides, high-quality hotels, and excellent food. I return home feeling enriched. Thank you for an unforgettable, magical experience. I will never forget it.

Everything was amazing, we came from Colombia 🇨🇴, very good organization, views , people and country. All the team made our visit perfect , the guides were very professional , the drivers always on time helping us , with all the patience and dedication, totally recommended
- by Felipe HerreraI recently booked a 10-day cultural tour across Uzbekistan with Nuratau Travel (Responsible Travel), and I couldn't be happier with the experience! The guides were knowledgeable and friendly, making each city's history come alive. The hotel selections were top-notch, all centrally located and close to major sites. Our driver was a true professional, always helpful and ensuring we traveled safely. Communication with the company was a breeze; they were incredibly responsive and fulfilled all their promises. Overall, I had an incredible time and wholeheartedly recommend Nuratau Travel to everyone. If you're considering a trip to Uzbekistan, look no further!

The seven lakes in Tajikistan was interesting. The Charyn canyon, Reina Kench guesthouse in Kyrgyzstan was lovely. All 3 cities in Uzbekistan were fascinating. The crater and Asgabat in Turkmenistan were also highlights.
- by SueLoved it all but the highlights were Samarkand (the great view from the hotel roof), the fort trip and the visit to the Ulug-Beg Observatory. Our main guide Marat was really good and informative, and the local guide in Bokhara was also particularly good.

I loved it :) very well planned and executed. I could just follow the lead of the driver and guides. Most guides were very well prepared and adjusted well to changes. The driver was very kind and considerate. There were some minor problems with the hot water at my last hotel but the staff fixed it quite quickly.

The trip was well organized overall. Partly too long driving times for too little experience (long drive to the mountains (beautiful, but the driver didn't know, 3 hours lost due to detours and lack of local knowledge and therefore hardly any time on site), equally long drive to the desert, driver didn't know about the stop at Lake Aydarkul) The desert camp cannot be offered as accommodation! The yurts are old, the beds disgusting and dirty. The team was nice. The contact with the guides and drivers was not communicated clearly. Most of the time someone sat in front of us unexpectedly, without prior notice. All hotels were very clean, all people very friendly!!!
- by Anke van LaakVery well thought, nice rhythm with some calmer days and some fuller. Nice experience in the rural country with a guest house stay and in the yurt. If possible I would turn the tour around, starting from Khiva. Very good communication during the whole trip

It was great. The two guides (do not remember their names) in Buhara and Tashkent are the best. The conditions at the desert site are not very good. You may want skip it.
- by Chun Changwe had a great time in Uzbekistan. although we did not have a guide with us all the time, the tour was perfectly organized, and every driver and/or guide we had were always on time. the guides were very knowledgeable and with a perfect English.

Uzbekistan was much more than what my wife, friends and I expected. Wonderful people, beautiful architecture, interesting landscape and an array of history. A wonderful trip!!! Turkmenistan was an eye opener. The capital reminded me of DisneyWorld. The northern area captivated my interest in the history of this part of the World which unfortunately is not part of the school or college curriculum in the West. The guides were: Timur an A+ As mentioned before "Not enough words to praise his professionalism, knowledge and services". His substitute that came with us to Tajikistan is still "green". The local guide in Tajikistan was also an A+. He made this part of the trip worthwhile notwithstanding it was the lesser place from the cultural point of view. The guide in Turkmenistan is excellent, somewhat shy but very nice, helpful and knowledgeable.. The crossing of the border from Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan was an ordeal, out of a Kafka book In a nutshell, many thanks for organizing the tour and the visits to places I had dreamed to see!
- by Jessica MillerI just returned from East site 5 stans tour and was so pleasantly surprised that we got so much in with just three weeks. It is a tour that is jammed packed full of wonderful sights, good quality meals in very delightful restaurants..top notch hotels and wonderfully informative guides. In three weeks there was literally no reason to take out your wallets, because everything was included. The only hassle was the border crossing from Uzbekistan to Turkmenistan, which was no fault of East site. The crossing is poorly staffed and the customs offices are unnecessarily tedious with very little organization.. otherwise the only interruption was having to wait a long time to check into our hotel in Ashgabat which also has to do with the government control of the entire country. We made good use of our time with an evening tour of this amazing city. I felt that Julia made my life easy not having to submit any passport or visa papers. She calls all her clients before the trip to give them necessary information and answer any questions. Our tour was great with the exception of a couple who came from Hawaii with the expectation that our guides would handle the 4 huge suitcases and the wheelchair situation. This is NOT a tour for anyone who cannot walk or climb stairs. it is a full on pace.

generally ok but some specific issues that I shall comment later.
- by Ian MuncasterThe itinerary as set out is probably as good as you can get though future guest should be warned The Turkmenistan border is a nightmare at Farab and involves dragging your cases about 500 meteres at least in the hot sun along a gravel road. They will need to be able to hop up into a truck ie be very agile (yes there's a van part of the way but its a long crossing ) Have all medicines ready in hand luggage Expect to have phots deleted on exit back to Uzbekistan Ashgabat makes this excursion in Turkmenistan worth it but only just , it's VERY stressful and remember most of it you have to do without a guide Day 11in the hot months eg June this day is too long after the stress of recrossing into Uzbekistan do not expect your guests to walk about 1km in the hot afternoon sun betweem Dashaguz and Nukus Nb re transportation. This was much better in Turkmenistan and Tajikistan it was poor from day 11 on in Uzbekistan. Often an aging small sedan with poor air conditioning. On day11 I nearly died getting to Nukus. Modern 4 W drive SUv s should be used in Uzbekistan not some cheap local cars

Overall, we really enjoyed the trip. Uzbekistan offered us the best guide (Mansur) & the best historical sites to visit. Turkmenistan was problematic in a few ways. Entering & leaving the country was challenging, the roads outside Ashgabat were a nightmare, & we were forced to leave our Ashgabat hotel a day early. Our guide found us another hotel which was subpar at best. I would recommend flying from Mary to Osh to avoid the pitiful bumpy 4 hour drive from Merv to the Uzbek border. We also paid for a breakfast due to our early flight from Ashgabat to Mary. We only spent one day in Tajikistan & it was a long late drive back to Samarkand. We did stop at a nice hotel in Pentjikant, both before & after the all day 7 Lakes visit. It would have been better to spend the night at that hotel before venturing back across the border towards Samarkand. The 2 train rides in Uzbekistan were excellent as was the food throughout the trip, providing you love meat (i do). A vegetarian might be a bit challenged.
- by Kerry SchaferWell worth the undertaking. Thank you! Very rapid, which was predictable. Several unforeseen snaffews were handled well & calmly by guides - like all of us being booted out of the hotel in Ashgabat unexpectedly. Bureaucratic delays upon arrival in Ashgabat did not assist with the group being calmer, especially before a night of under two hours' sleep.
