My husband and I booked this trip to celebrate our anniversary and we had such an amazing time! Diego, our travel coordinator was very friendly and helpful, always keeping us on track and there to answer any questions we had. The Ilatoa Lodge is a hidden gem. Marcello and family were so welcoming and kind, and happy to help coordinate anything we needed. Enjoy your morning coffee enjoying the magical landscape and beautiful humming birds that frequent the garden. Bring a lot of cash with you. Almost everywhere in Santa Cruz takes credit cards, but vendors will typically upcharge for usage. When you get to Isabela - everywhere is CASH ONLY - we could not find a single place that took cards. There are ATMs, but they are not reliable so don't depend on being able to use them. Make sure you bring more sunscreen than you think you will need. You can buy more at any of the pharmacies once you get to the Galapagos, but it will be much more expensive so come prepared. Hats and sunglasses are a must. I also highly recommend a wetsuit or a rash guard shirt for snorkeling as the water can be chilly! Wet suits can typically be rented on town. Some other helpful tip: - On Day 2 (when you arrive to the Galapagos) - if you get the chance to drop your bags off at the hotel prior to going to the Darwin Center - DO IT. You will have to walk about a mile each way, so you don't want anything heavy with you. - Eat at the Santa Cruz Brewery and 1835 on Santa Cruz. The food was amazing. - For the beach day -- the hike to the beach is a HIKE. It is about 45 mins over an uneven so wear comfortable shoes. cobblestone path

We had a number of different guides but it was very well organized and everyone was on time. It seemed like the schedule changed several times and there was at times a number of activities in one day. We walked uphill in the morning and then snorkeling and more walking in the afternoon. Would have liked to have had things stretched out a bit more. You can of course opt out of activities. Navigating to the hotels is no problem from anywhere in town. The first hotel was a very nice facility but the street light was at the height of the room and could keep you awake. The staff all spoke English and were very helpful. The second hotel was a bit worn. The staff did not speak English,
- by Diane Van BoxelThe trip to the Galapagos was eye-opening and exciting, being so close to the wild life animals on land and under the water. All the tour guides are nice and helpful, in particular Rafael Arevalo from Quito who is informative and shared the interesting things about the daily life of the people living in the city. Rafael is also knowledgeable

I did receive my updated itinerary until day 3 after following the original one, being confused and having to message the operator multiple times. When I did reach out to the operator upset on day 2, she was unkind and blamed me. This was a poor way to handle a solo female traveler in a foreign country. On day 3, she sent me an itinerary that was consistent and things went okay from there. She also misspelt my name on EVERY document so every tour guide and sign with my name on it was wrong for 10 days which I found annoying.
- by Lenora turcotteEverything's good, just one thing: from ferry to hotel, with luggage, and no wifi, walking in not possible

Had a great time. Tours were a lot of fun.
- by Edward PavlisinThe guides were very good. Advertising over promised and in some cases was misleading - I had the impression that there was a fixed group of people on the tour.

Excellent nature destination, with varied activities from kayaking, snorkeling, hiking, etc. It allows you to meet a wide variety of animals and interact in their own habitat. Basic but sufficient and clean accommodation. There was a need to provide more detailed information about the daily program to customers, especially as the guide changed each day.
- by Mario PereiraWhat an amazing trip. Edwin was so helpful in the planning. We did the 7 day scenery tour and a day tour in Quito. Galapagos was incredible, so much to see and do. Loved all the wild life. Puerta Ayora and Puerta Villamil were wonderful to explore. Tours were all well organized. Especially loved our trip to Bartolome, Diego, our guide was exceptional. Edwin was our guide for our Quito tour and it could not have been any better or more informative. Highly recommend Cami Adventures.

The tour exceeded our expectations. The activities were great, the accommodations were excellent, the food was fantastic, and the Grande Daphne's staff went above and beyond to make the experience exceptional.

BM Tours, thanks for making our dreams come true! Galapagos was amazing, so many memories. Hasta la proxima vez
- by Roberto ChangI’m writing more of an account than a review, so you can decide whether this tour is for you. May suit some people, others maybe not. Day 1 No lunch provided on the first day, had to buy my own. Glad I did as it was the best meal of the tour. Things were disorganised in terms of instructions of travel, felt like I was lost at times, not knowing where to be when. Communication could have been much better. From travelling to the mainland to Isabella will take you all day, so don’t plan on any activities on the first day. Accommodation in Isabella was basic (I would say 2 star), but clean. 2nd day Again communication not great - I later learned that the operator sub contracts all the tours you go on to other operators. This meant having different operators for different activities on the same day. Morning tour was 2 hours in length to see the tortoise reserve and flamingo lagoon. Lunch was ok, but the guide did not seem that enthusiastic. Afternoon tour was three hours to Los Tunnels. A very good tour. The guide was knowledgable, enthusiastic and very passionate. Only a main course for dinner in the evening. Day 3 Early start 5:15 am pick up, so no breakfast at the hotel. Boat at 6am. Accommodation was very nice (would say 3 star), staff welcoming and very friendly. They gave me breakfast when they heard I could not get any that morning at the previous nights hotel. Only one activity for the afternoon - visit to the Charles Darwin research station (50 minutes). Day 4 Morning activity Tortuga Bay (3 hours). I wouldn’t say the trip was guided, just walked you there and you were left to your own devices. Afternoon activity tunnels, tortoise ranch and sinkholes (2hrs 45 mins). An ok trip, though the coach transportation was very old, uncomfortable and no air conditioning. Day 5 Picked up 4 hours early for my flight, so waiting around a lot at the airport. Conclusion Seemed very expensive for only 11.5 hours of activities. I think if you planned ahead, you could book your own accommodation, tours and travel to make more of the 5 days at half the price. As I said, this may suit some and not others.

Our holiday was great. We experienced so many wonderful animals, food and people. The accommodation was okay. The casa de Nelly was incredible as was the red booby hotel but the blue house was loud, smelled an awful lot like sewage, was uncomfortable and overall, unprepared. Our drivers were knowledgeable but often late picking us up. We did enjoy the freedom to roam and explore untied to a group.
