Mount Kilimanjaro Tour Companies

Would never consider doing any mountain tour with anyone except G Adventures. I have also done other high elevation tours with G Adventures and they are my “go to” company for travel.

I got Covid from someone in the group. For a high altitude hike like this, we should have been tested for Covid. It not like I could avoid it, we ate together in an enclosed tent.

2 gals successful summit to the top of Kilimanjaro in 6 days had planned 7 round trip ! This wouldn’t have been possible without the excellent advices and support of almighty Kilimanjaro team Frankie and swalehe! Our crew were absolutely brilliant we felt so well looked after they couldn’t have done enough for us. Musa gave us our morning wake up and every morning he came with a smile and with that we always knew it was going to be a great day no matter what the challenge was! A great experience all round! Summit night we had an extra team member omali walk with us and he was just the best addition to get us through the final push but a massive thanks to you all ! It was a team effort! I could write all day about this experience but it’s best to just see for yourselves how amazing they are !

The Marangu Route was a fantastic choice for someone new to trekking. The huts were a great touch, and the gradual climb allowed me to enjoy the journey. Reaching the summit and seeing the glaciers was a surreal experience I’ll cherish forever.

The Lemosho Route offered a perfect balance of adventure and acclimatization. Every day brought new landscapes, from dense forests to the scenic Shira Plateau. The extra days helped us adjust to the altitude, and summiting was an unforgettable moment!

This is the best long distance trek experience I have ever had. Every aspect of the tour was so well organised, from the moment we started our trek to the day we summited and the day we came down. We were given the best attention by the guides and porters. The chef did an excellent job making sure we were well fed. Considering how tough the living conditions were, we were afforded so much luxuries which were only made possible due to the effort from the team. For those who are considering going up Kilimanjaro, cannot recommend enough this group enough!

I recently had the incredible experience of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro with Kili Economy Safari via the Machame route alongside my father. Yesse is genuinely such an amazing guide, knowledgeable about its history, culture and the safety standards from the numerous trips he has undertaken guiding climbing parties. The people at Zara really know how to organize trips up Kilimanjaro. They have the right equipment, their crew are experienced and well trained professionals and they provided us with the best support system. We all got along well with the entire crew and enjoyed being with them. The weather was fantastic and we progressed well with the trek without any difficulties. I give them 10/10 for excellence. They are also pretty affordable for such top service and support.

In October 2024, my brothers and I climbed Mount Kilimanjaro with Zara Tours. The trek turned out to be really amazing and I wholeheartedly recommend the route, our guide Lema and Zara Tours for the being outstanding. Our tour designer Hamisi organized everything perfectly and assigned us the wonderful crew. The guides observed our safety religiously with daily health checks to check on our vitals. They ensured that we ate well and slept in comfortable tents. These guys were always ready to assist when needed them. They were also fun people to be around. We all reached the summit and could not have done it without Zara's support.

We had an amazing holiday with Afrishare - a combination of a 7 day Kilimajaro hike for myself and my 16 year old son, and then a 4 day safari in the Serengeti and Ngorongoro crater for the whole family after my wife and other son had flown out to join us. In all of it Afrishare organised everything perfectly, from the fundamentals of the hike and the safari through to all the interconnecting transfers. We made the decision to go with a local Tanzanian company rather than some big international tour operator, and do not regret that decision at all. Right from day one, Ibrahim and team were very responsive (do they ever sleep?!) answering my endless questions and tweaking the itinerary so it was exactly as we wanted. They then delivered. The Kili hike was the 7 day Machame route. The team taking us up were great, had all the required kit, and looked after us well. It was hard going but we made it to the summit and have amazing memories and sense of achievement. The safari in the Serengeti was amazing - we saw the big 5, including 46 lions in 2-3 days, and a cheetah and cubs a few metres away. Through it all our guide Kazi, was fantastic - really knowledgeable about the animals and conservation more widely, also good fun (which is important when you have 4 full days together!). I would definitely recommend Afrishare.

Machame route is the best route for me 100% specialized in Tanzania this local agency did a wonderful job for me and my wife. We planned to climb Kilimanjaro for almost 5 years and we have been in touch with Afrishare Trekking and Safaris for almost 2 years before our adventure begins. The communication and activity arrangements is super. What else to say! We had a wonderful 6 day climb and everything was perfect. The 7 day trek up Kilimanjaro was absolutely amazing. Patrick our tour designer was great in sorting out all the booking related details and making the arrangements for the crew, equipment, supplies and all the necessary logistics required to be in place for the trek. The trek was new unlike any other activity that I have ever done; very tough but so fascinating. We came to different scenery everyday, enjoying amazing views and tranquility as we went up. We had a great crew of 2 guides (Bonnie and Sadat) 12 porters and one cook. They did exceptionally well, caring for us, ensuring that we were safe, had good food and in the best health.
