My Rigi was a wonderful tour. Up in a cable car and a train trip as well. We spent a few hours in our bathers enjoying the beautiful mineral springs overlooking the Swiss alps which was wonderful. Grindelwald on another day trip was also excellent. Bus ride from Zurich to Grindelwald and up the alps on a gondola. This is an absolutely amazing experience and the view was spectacular. Absolutely loved both tours.
- by Maria VasiliVery bad experience overall. The hotel provided by the company was in a very unsafe area, especially for a solo female traveler. I had to then find my own accommodation in a safer area. I notified the company immediately and they were of no help whatsoever and did not refund me for having to find my own accommodation due to their substandard and unsafe choice. Nowhere on the website for this tour did it give the option to find your own accommodation, which they originally told me on the phone I could have done when I called to complain after arriving at the hotel chosen by them. If so, I would have done so in advance. They also didn't even know where the hotel was located or how to get in when I called for help. My Uber driver couldn't find the hotel either and just dropped me off on the street, leaving me there lost walking around with all my luggage trying to find the hotel. When I called the company for help, they didn't know where it was either and had me walking around to various buildings to see if that was it. Once finding the hotel, it was locked, as it is an apartment style hotel with no reception or staff present, and you need a code to get inside. The company didn't know this either and had to make phone calls to try to figure out how I got inside while I waited on the side of the street with all my luggage in a bad neighborhood. They then called me and told me I needed to do an online check-in to get the code, which they should have already known and told me so I could have done it in advance and be able to enter the hotel, instead of standing on the side of the street with all my luggage trying to do this online check-in on my phone with low battery as I had already traveled all day to get there. It was very bad experience from the beginning and the company was no help in trying to fix the situation. The tour was also an individual tour rather than a group tour, which is how it was advertised online. There was no one from the company in person in Zurich that I could contact for help or assistance. The only person I could get on the phone was nowhere near Zurich and back in their home office somewhere. It was a horrible experience from start to finish. I will absolutely never be traveling with TourRadar again and will warn others to do the same.

Highly recommend. The hikes were hard, so make sure you are in shape. The altitude is a factor if you live near sea level. The hotel was quaint, but the restaurant there is near Michelin-star-quality food. Did not expect that!! The instructions and guides are super helpful, as is the app. Kandersteg is so amazing. Wish i could retire there. No negatives that i can even think of. Doing it again next year
- by Jared Vincentexcellent guide (Mike Rhodes) - right out of the top drawer. Would have enjoyed it more and would have been happy to pay more if the trek focused on Auberge accommodation. Under canvas is not the best way to prepare oneself for a daily slog. What was the most inspirational moment of your trip? First sight of the Matterhorn from a col What did you think of your group leader? Warm, accomplished, highly experienced, confident with an easy relaxed style - but we still all knew who was in charge. Right out of the top drawer. Do you have any advice for potential travellers? Despite the bulk, try to take a substantial mat for sleeping on the hard ground. Self-inflating but with a 5cm height would be preferable.

Matthew was amazing. World class guide. The tour description did not match the actual schedule (no gondola day #1). Unfortunately, those of us in good hiking fitness were held back by those less fit. That was frustrating to hike then wait over and over again. Meals as advertised. Trail lunches were terrific; allowing for great views and spending time with our group.

Our tour guide was amazing and a lot of fun. Ted made the trip! Everything was above board and exceeded our expectations. Not that we had many! We look forward to our next adventure with Tours of Distinction.

Our 9 day London to Paris tour in August (August 14-August 22nd) was disappointing and uneventful with a significant departure disruption. Overall Collette Tours are very pricey. The Collette emergency team and their tour specialists are not very helpful in getting you results if you have a tour delay or disruption to file a claim for. They try to cover over their lack of efforts & results for, by offering you a very nominal amount in future tour vouchers. However, $200 doesn't go very far when most Collette European tours for two people cost well over $12,000.
