Excellent way to see Australia in an authentic way and meet new people. Our guide Tom W was very knowledgeable, friendly, considerate and helpful throughout the 8 days we spent on the road together. As a small group we were well catered for and if we had any questions Tom was right there to help night and day. There was a good mix of driving, hiking and exploring local sights on our way north. The sights and experiences on this trip were exceptional and I feel grateful I got to enjoy them at such a reasonable price. I would definitely recommend this to anyone keen to discover the South Australian outback and the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park.
- by Shawn PaceThis was an incredible experience! Amazing views, beautiful sunrise hikes, (bush) camping in swags and learning so much about geological and cultural history. My tour group was very small which created a very relaxed dynamic. No one was left behind or left out. Teamwork makes the dream work. Sid, our tour guide, is pretty damn awesome in what he does. I learned so much about these parts of Australia and he really kept me engaged because he showed authenticity and genuine engagement with people and his surroundings. He was very professional and cool even when things went a little south (blown out tire with a very long drive ahead). He had to stray away from the itinerary a couple of times but I fully trusted him to give us the best experience on this tour. He noticed when you took an interest in learning specific things and would try and teach you about what he knows. Also shoutout to Gary, who was a trainee tour guide. He'll do great on his first tour through the desert and that group will be lucky to have him. This part of Australia is so unique compared to the east coast and south. It's definitely in my top 2 of tours I've been on.

Sanne was an excellent tour guide, our trip was quite challenging in lots of ways and she coped with everything efficiently and cheerfully. She was very knowledgeable about local culture, plants and animals and that definitely enhanced the experience. It felt like we got the most out of our time starting early worked really well and we saw Uluru at sunset and Kings Canyon and Kata Tjuṯa at sunrise. The only down side was that I should have booked directly with Autopia. Tour radar added a layer of confusion to the booking process which was quite stressful. Once we got on the bus we were very happy with the tour. It was a great experience and we would definitely not have got the same if we had hired a car and done it by ourselves.
- by Kathryn ForsythA fantastic trip seeing the highlights of Uluru and its surroundings!

Great tour for our family. Just the right amount of activity. Tour guide was great. Very organised and knowledgeable. Accomodation in permanent tents was good, especially the stretcher beds.
- by Miriam FishTook the tour hosted by Robert & Frederico. Robert was always full of energy when he spoke and he had lots of stories. Whenever we saw animals on the outback roads he stopped and allowed us to have a look and photograph them. He did this with camels. He found a dead snake on the side of the road and then pulled it into our van for us all to have a look at it. He found a thorny devil on the side of the road and pulled it into the van for all of us to look at it. He was very knowledgeable with explaining the story of the Southern Cross star constellation. I liked that the tour guides allowed us to swap seats in the van and sit up the front with Robert. I liked the number of stops we had including Erldunda at the geographic centre of Australia and the many photo opportunities on the side of the road. It was fabulous to see Uluru and I was amazed at the height and size of it. We saw the sunset over Uluru which changed the colour of the rock which was sensational. We also saw the sunrise over Uluru and I enjoyed visiting the Aboriginal cultural centre. Aboriginal art is stunning and the people are friendly.

It was better than we expected, the landscape and vegetation green and alive and rain on Uluru with it’s waterfalls were something very few people experience
- by Trevor ProctorGreat tour and great guide Adam! We always felt safe with him and had super delicious food (which was really suprising considering the outback/bush-circumstances!!!), good talks and informative hikes. We hope that job gets paid enough, as it is hard work. We had a flat tire and Adam fixed it quickly which is easier said than done out there in the sun and dealing with a truck-tire. Truly a demanding job! The Kimberleys speak for themselves. We have rarley slept better than during those 10 days in the wild and we had spectacular sights and swims. Would have loved to see even more wildlife, but that´s nothing the guide or the tour can influence. The only thing that needs fixing would be the truck itself. It was already quiet old, with the aircon not working in the driver´s cabin and leaking water on 2 of the seats in the back, while also being really loud. Please invest money here, especially in the interest of the guides as they are the ones who have to deal with naggy tourists and fixing everything on the road.

AATKings was a great tour company to use to tour the Uluru area because they took care of every detail from start to finish. They are very well organized and have thought of every detail from the time you leave the airport after collecting your luggage to returning you back to the airport for your flight home. Tour guides were friendly, professional, encouraging and knowledgeable. The Red Centre Short Break Tour hit some of the biggest highlights and was a comprehensive tour of the area. My only advice to people booking in the future is give yourself an extra day or two here if time isn’t an issue. We never got a relaxing day at the resort pool or an evening to have a nice leisurely dinner because every day was packed with activities. If you’re planning a trip to Uluru, use AAT Kings to take all the planning off your hands - you’ll be glad you did.

Itinerary for the 7day Alice Springs, ulura , McDonald Ranges & Kings Canyon was Fantastic. I am glad i saw it all. The communication was great, buses were AAT King so nice coaches. Only one thing- i thought i would be with the same people for the whole tour- not day trips (seems the Outback works that way)
- by Susan FraserDisappointed this was not a group tour as that is the way the description made it sound. Wanted to travel with the same set of people for the 8 days and make new friends. Had I have known it was piece mealed together I could have done the same thing and scheduled things better. As after we had paid in full the tour changed and we did not spend the night in West Mcdonald mountain range it was a waste of time to do a 7+ hour bus trip for a 1.5 hour riverbed water that required you to be on the bus at 4:30am after being on a tour the night before until 9:30pm. It could have been set up to only spend 3 nights in Alice Springs and 4nights in Ayer Rock, if they were not going to stay in W. Macdonald for the 1-night original advertised. The 2 tours of Alice Springs could have been all in one. The tours were all very good the one I already mentioned about.

This was an amazing tour. We saw everything! The Bungle Bungles was amazing and our own infinity pool at the top of Bell Gorge was something I will always remember. What I liked best about this tour is that we went up to the Dampier Peninsula and saw some amazing coastline. Most of the tours I reviewed didn't include this. The rock pool castle was fantastic. I also liked that we were in proper 4WD's and not on a bus. I didn't know if I could camp for 21 days but by the end we were so used to setting up it was like second nature. I would do another tour like this.

Fantastic guides, really great camping set up, meals and route. The cultural component was also appreciated.
- by Jesse BoothTrekking with light luggage was comfortable, but I think the pace is a little too fast for Japanese people.

The communication from Tour Radar once I booked and paid for the tour was appalling. It was so incredibly difficult to gain any information at all, I called, emailed, used their ‘preferred’ messaging system that promoted itself as 24/7 communication and would not hear from anyone for 3-5 days. I ended up calling Inspiring Journeys directly to find out what was happening. Once I arrived in Alice Springs, the day before the tour, there was no booking for me. The hotel staff had to ring on my behalf and fortunately found my name! I met other people on my tour in the hotel and they had a different itinerary, different meeting time, everyone was so confused. There was no welcome letter or information available. It was a comedy show… The tour itself was great, the 4WD vehicle was so comfortable and well stocked, the driver kept us safe, the accomodation was good, the experiences were fun, especially Under the Desert Moon and Outback BBQ. Our guide was like a deer in headlights, he knew his stuff but was so unapproachable and made no attempt to get to know anybody. Thankfully, our group was excellent and everyone hit it off. I will NEVER book with Tour Radar again
- by Stephanie TaylorThe Red Centre had always been on my bucket list and it was incredible! I 100% recommend travelling with Inspiring Journeys. I chose this tour as it was small group and our Driver Myles was so knowledgeable and ensured we were looked after every step of the way. We booked an extra night in Ayers Rock so we could do Field of Light - well worth it!
