Iquitos Tour Companies

Wonderful trip to the Amazon rainforest! We were on the Amatista riverboat with an amazing crew and fun excursions.

Crew and Naturalists were great. Vessel is a relic of times past but comfortable and easy to use on the itenary. Iquitos to Iquitos went smoothly and well, Lima had hot water issues at hotel and we were all uncomfortable with that. Monika tried hard but might need some training regarding dealing with difficulties. Attention to professionalism and flexibility in response to difficult situations would improve the experience.

I had a wonderful time. So many great experiences, swimming in the Amazon, ziplining in the jungle, nature hikes, animal sanctuaries. The hotel grounds are wonderful. And the food is delicious. Staff is super attentive and friendly. Great place if you just want to chill but also lots of optional activities.

It was an interesting experience in the jungle. The lodge was simple but we had a guide who comes out of that area and showed us a lot of nice places. Beeing on the boat was the most refreshing time of the day.

I had the best tourguide named ' Segundo' i could ever wish for. He is so knowledgeable in the Amazon rainforest, knows about every plant, mushroom or animal we have seen, I've always felt safe around him and he is so so so friendly. He made my trip the best experience in my life!

Many things worked well, overall we were satisfied. However, on the first two days the tour group was much too large 14 people. A group size of 4 - 8 people should only be. It was very cramped in the boat. The overnight stay on the third day is not on the platform (is too dangerous, too high, too narrow), but in the house. The guide has made a lot of effort.

Cucemba Lodge was relaxing in a jungle environment. Lodge is very rustic with limited power availability but a place to spend down time for yourself. Good menu limited too. Great daily eco-tours and jungle/river trips day and night seeing flora and wild animals - especially the pink and gray dolphins! Our guide, Nestor, is a very knowledgeable about plants, animals, indigenous communities and culture/history.
