Our guide Romulo was amazong, has a lot of knowledge and eager to share with us all the exciting details of the area, animals, plants and the culture. Our accomodation was vers clean, you don’ t really expect that in the forest but they clean the rooms every day. The food was excellent too! Couldn’t really say anything bad but prepare for the 10 hour long bus ride because it was not a pleasure to ride. the roads are really bad the driver was honking like every min.. but it was worth for the tours.
- by Eszter Dr. WittamnnIt’s not even worth one star , most unsafe tour middle of jungle whith the most horrible raisist people who only treat you well if you Spanish speaker , First of all there is no clean water for you just muddy river water for your shower . Secound no power no wife no reception at all only from 4 o’clock to 5 . My roof was licking so bad due to rain but unfortunately they had no empty room to change my room and end up to make me to leave the tour at secound day and the didn’t return my 1200 $ money . They charge me for transportation but they didn’t provide me any type of transportation, they left me by the road middle of jungle where I could be raped or killed or ingerd by animal . Pleas do not book Nicky lodge at all . There is many lodge that can make your travel amazing . Also this lodge had promotion for ecuadorian people for 100$ and full of people who singing and clabb and play guitar all time whith loud music and destroyed the nature by their song. Pleas give favour your self and avoid this company.

Excellent service and good food. Cabin in front of boat had us sleeping at an angle.
- by Mary LockwoodThe tour was amazing. The crew of the Amatista were brilliant and looked after us so well. Excellent food, clean cabins and great trips out in the skiff.

I thought when you say coach, you were referring to all transportation. I didn’t realized this until I purchased the tour and received the itinerary. I had to take the public transportation to almost all the sites. This was a huge inconvenience! The hotel in Kuala Lumpur had cockroaches and most of the breakfast weren’t very good! The WhatsApp, there’s no answer and no reply

This trip was a dream! Costa Rica is a nature lover's paradise, the group was small and very friendly, our teenagers got along fabulously and Allan, the tour guide, did a great job of organizing everything and had an extensive knowledge of Costa Rica's wildlife and culture. Every day was a highlight and the abundance of scenery and animal sightings was hard to beat: wild tapirs, toucans, pumas, crocodiles, an abundance of exotic birds, monkeys, whales, dolphins. It is not for nothing that Costa Rica accounts for 5% of the world's biodiversity. The hotels were also fabulously selected and the transportation by minibus was comfortable and ideal. Costa Rica attaches great importance to environmental protection and sustainability and you can feel it. A fabulous trip through a great country full of natural beauty and friendly people!!!
- by Jeanna Nikolov-Ramirez- Our guide, who made the trip exceptional. His knowledge, expertise and love of his country and Explore made this a very special experience and created some incredible family memories. - Corcovado; whale watching and rain forest walk, seeing the tapir and humpbacks. - White water rafting (option). - Watching the turtle egg laying (option). - Monteverde canopy walk (option).

I had the best tourguide named ' Segundo' i could ever wish for. He is so knowledgeable in the Amazon rainforest, knows about every plant, mushroom or animal we have seen, I've always felt safe around him and he is so so so friendly. He made my trip the best experience in my life!
- by Roos de SnooThe experience of the jungle in itself was great. However, the Lodge was far from acceptable facilities that are today minimum acceptable conditions, 3 hours electricity each day, the room just 1 small level above camping. The guide was excellent, he was very competent and available, with a lot of know-how about wild animals and plants. Local staff was also very friendly and meals that were served, even if repeated, were tasty and healthy. In the end, my objective of watching and photographing large number of bird species came short, also even in 7 days did not have the chance to watch more monkeys, caimans, snakes, sloths, that I believe would be great. Still a great experience and ready and willing to go back there.

What a trip -- the memory will live with me for the rest of my life and am so glad that I walked the trail. Have wanted to do it for a while but other committments have always got in the way. Great group and have made many more new friends. Go for it -- you will not regret it. WONDERFUL. What was the most inspirational moment of your trip? Walking through the Sun Gate to see the Ancient ruins of Machu Picchu below you after toing for the previous few days through, sun, rain and whatever the weather had to throw at you. The support from all those in the group tomake sure that everyone made it. A wonderful moment that even brought a lump to my throat and the joy of everyone within the group as having made it. Hugs all round. So worth it. What did you think of your group leader? BRILLIANT. As simple as that. Wilbert Ramos -- if you get him on your trip you will have an amazing time. Words really cant describe how good he was. Inspiartional and yet knew what to do in all circumstances and his knowledge was second to none. I think I will leave it there as to add any other words would probably dumb down how good he really was. Thanks you. Do you have any advice for potential travellers? Enjoy what ever is thrown at you. It will be worth it and you will be rewarded. As far as the trail is concerned, make sure you have plenty of batteries for your camera. I took both a compact and an SLR with zoom lense but to be honest the latter was probably a waste of time and adds extra weight to what you have to carry. By the way -- buy a plastic poncho as they really are worth it and will cover your day pack at the same time without adding a lot of weight to your daypack by carrying a coat. Is there anything else you would like to add? Thank you for a wonderful holiday. It was everything and more that I had hoped for and have some truly wonderful memories and smashing photos which will get looked at on a regular basis. Will definately book with you agin
- by Brian CooperWhat an amazing experience! A very busy trip but everything from the fantastic scenery on the Inca trail, great food, a leader that not only was very knowledgeable but couldn't have looked after us better made it all so worth while. What was the most inspirational moment of your trip? So many loved the whole jungle experience. The scenery on the Inca trail especially the third campsite on top of the mountain and seeing Machu Picchu for the first time. All the work put in by the porters, chefs etc on the Inca trail which we couldn't have done without! The homestay was a nice relaxing way to end the trip. What did you think of your group leader? Our group leader Ollie was brilliant! He was so helpful and knowledgeable! Everything from him making sure the group was in the right place at the right time, to organising our luggage, sharing his knowledge of the places we visited, making sure we could all complete the trek at a pace that suited us and always having a good sense of humour all helped to make this trip so much better! Do you have any advice for potential travellers? Read the trip notes carefully. Enjoy the walk and take it at your own pace and listen to your leader. Don't get duty free at Lima airport as it will get confiscated at Madrid. There is a lot packed into the trip so don't expect to much time to relax but well worth it. You are going to get wet, muddy, sweaty, hot and cold during the trip but don't worry it will all come of your clothes in the wash when you get back! Is there anything else you would like to add? Loved the trip! Could have done with another day in Cusco to see the sights. The 7kg luggage limit is quite hard to pack for especially with the weather being so changeable so needs really careful thought. It was easy to acclimatize to the altitude with the time in Cusco before the trek which I have not always had on previous trips.

Sandaval lake was an ideal location to experience our first trip to the amazon. Our guide, Soledad was knowledgeable, accomodating and filled with passion and commitment for the rainforest and went above and beyond to make our experience a fantastic one. Raoul our canoe rower worked determidly to make our experience a great one and he worked in sync with Soledad so well. I highly recommend Soledad as a guide. All of the staff at sandaval were lovely and couldn’t be more accomodating however, I felt the manager at sandaval was a little insincere and far more accomodating once larger groups arrived. The food was ample and the fresh morning juices fresh and delightful. My only critique might be the mosquito nets and hammocks needed a good wash as they were quite dusty. I would rate our guide 10/10. Our canoe rower 10/10. The wildlife and activities 10/10.
