Great tour, fast paced to be able to see many places in one week. Would definitely recommend adding an extra day or two on either side, if you were to arrive on the afternoon that the tour starts you wouldn't be able to see much of Rome. Good mix of options and opportunities to break off into smaller groups/solo and rejoin people later on.
- by Samantha MooreThe best experience ever! This was my first solo travelling adventure that has encouraged me to travel more as the countries visited were incredible and the people a part of the tour became good friends in the space of a week!

I absolutely loved staying in Nice. Our hotel and surroundings were great. I was just disappointed that our tours/excursions were always so rushed. I would have appreciated more guidance and knowledge when we visited cities, instead of just being on. Our own.

We had a fabulous holiday. Our guide, Bruno was amazing and looked after us very well. He was interesting a fun and kind to all of the patrons. George was also an excellent 🚌 driver and fun, happy and kind at all times. Our only problem was the Evergreen Laurel. they placed us in a room that was 36 degrees with broken air con. After we consulted the staff they could not shift us. Then as we stayed an extra night and were shifted. We were placed in a room with bed bugs and were bitten. I wouldn't recommend the hotel at all. The La defense was far better. Overall staff were excellent.
- by Diana JoynsonI really enjoyed my tour from Paris to Barcelona, everything was organised well. The bus driver was so nice and drove us around safe and the guide Bruno was very knowledgeable of the places we went and made it interesting as well with some humour. Because of the heatwave some of the eating places were uncomfotable due to no aircon.

We enjoyed the tour and the stop overs. This was a good value vacation.
- by Peter AndresThe tour was excellent! we enjoyed all the sites and had great tour guides. Patricia was our favorite with her endless energy and great attitude. Some of the highlights were the Eiffel Tower, Lourdes miracle water, The Louvre, River cruise past Notre Dam, Moulin Rouge, and Barcelona. The bus drivers were all very professional and took us on some very narrow streets that i don't know how they maneuvered. The hotels were all good, some had better breakfast than others but you were always full and ready to start the day. The hotels were also in locations where you had a selection of dining options near them.

As a first-timer to Insight, and to group touring in general, I must say this trip was marvellous. France, of course, is so beautiful. Somehow each day managed to top the previous one. So many breathtaking moments. For me - my job was just to be where my guide, Emmanuelle, told me to be and try not to sleep through the alarm (whoopsie!). I didn’t have to deal with any of the details. What a vacation!! Emmanuelle was simply amazing - knowledgeable, organised, flexible and unendingly patient. I was tremendously impressed by her skill set - quite simply an excellent tour guide. A wonderful holiday - thoroughly recommend.
- by Jillian KohlerPassion from guide. Being relaxed and not having to worry about anything. Great experiences every day. New friends to spend time with

Both my husband and I loved this bike tour! This was the first one we have done, and it exceeded our expectations. Our tour guide Erwin was amazing, very knowledgeable & accommodating and did a tremendous job! The tour itself was absolutely incredible, with village after village of beautiful rolling landscape of the Provence region. The highlight of the trip was our bike to Gordes, with breathtaking views of the village! The only recommendation I have is unless you’re an avid biker, I highly recommend an e-bike option! I am a fairly fit individual, but having the e-bike was a huge help and absolutely made the trip much more enjoyable.
- by Alison FowlerA fine tour, here are some improvements: 1) ensure tourists are met at the airport. There was a problem with this, although I was reimbursed for cab fare. 2) Use more buses for transportation. Extensive use of public transportation (trams & trains), increases travel time and restricts free time to arrival/departure schedules.

Wonderful trip! Staff on the boat were always polite, helpful and accommodating. Excusion guides were very knowledgeable. Excusions were fun. Overall, the trip was well organized and managed from start to finish.
- by Marta HoetgerOf all my Uniworld cruises, this itinerary is the best one by far! The S.S. Catherine is absolutely stunning, with a grand entrance that is like no other. That's what I love about Uniworld - not one ship in their fleet looks like the next. Makes the onboard experience just as great as the onshore experience. The kayaking on the Gardon River is perhaps one of my favorite excursions of any vacation I've taken. This sailing had biking, hiking and kayaking, which was great.

Regarding our cycling tour - Hilltop Villages of Provence: Cons: 1. We were not provided with information on how to get from the train station to our hotel once we arrived in Carpentras. We had provided the train arrival time and destination and expected some information from the tour operator on either being picked up or details on how to get to the hotel. Instead we sat at the train station for ages and had to make our own way to the hotel. 2. There should have been some information provided on dealing with the extreme heat that we encountered during our tour. We were at serious risk of heat stroke, biking for almost 8 hours and having elevation gain of over 1,000 meters (as recorded by my Fitbit) on the first day of our trip. We took the initiative on the second and third days to map out alternate routes to get to our destinations, that involved biking on very busy roadways, but we felt the risk of competing with the traffic was less than the risk of heat stroke. 3. On the day that we returned to the hotel where we started, we were told that dinner was included, but there was no information provided to us on where, when or how we would get to wherever we were supposed to go. We had to make several calls to get this information from the tour contact person. 4. The bell was broken off one of the bikes we had, and there were times when it was necessary for us to alert pedestrians and other cyclists with the bell - but there was no bell! Pros: 1. Having the Headwater GPS application was very beneficial for determining the routes we were to follow, however a backup map should have been provided, as we had to change our routes due to the extreme heat. Also, our phone battery did not last the whole day, so having a backup map would have been helpful. 2. Baggage arrived in the right hotels every day! 3. The hotels were fantastic, really enjoyed our stays at l'Hotel Hermitage, Hotel Les Sables D'Ocre, and Hotel du Poete. Comments: The holder on the handlebars for the cell phone to allow us to use the Headwater navigation app did not work for us, as it was so hot that our phone overheated while it was stored in the holder. My travelling partner felt that the self-guided tour did not provide enough support, especially with the extreme heat that we encountered, and said that she would not take another self-guided tour.
- by Mary WoodThis trip was the holiday and adventure of a life time. It was perfect - the canoe provided with maps, luggage transported and hotels booked. The hotels were varied but all were wonderful and the staff friendly. The dinners were out of this world. The river was SO peaceful, and the 20km days passed in a flash. The instructions/maps could be a bit clearer, particularly instructions of where to pull in and how to get the the hotel. No rapids were mentioned, but we went over at least 10 sets a day - most very easy to navigate. We were very lucky with the fabulous warm weather and the river was low which made it much easier to manage as well. I loved every minute of it all. Thank you. I'd love to return with my family.

Guides were all good and food experience with Marion was great. Unfortunately i was on my own for the dinner on the first night which was disappointing as i hoped to meet and interact with others. Splendid Hotel was great. Facilities brilliant and staff amazing. The food experience in the old town was great because of Marion but difficult when others didn't turn up.
- by Janet LeersonOverall very good package, particularly the country side guided tour and the French Rivera coastal tour including EZE tour. Both tour guides were excellent and the private vans were comfortable and had great air conditioning considering it was very warm. Our Hotel had great staff however probably the smallest rooms and amenities I have ever stayed in. I’m a big guy so it was ok but not pleasant. We had one no show for a booked walking market tour but was refunded and we enjoyed the opportunity to explore on our own in the end.
