A hectic and fast paced trip, starting with early mornings. Loved Niagara Falls and being able to go to the Canadian side for one night (remember to apply for a Canadian Esta and bring your passport). Pennsylvania and Amish country side was a treat. Wish we had more time there. Love hearing about American history. Then Washington DC- amazing city. We disembarked after touring DC monuments and aeronautical museum and spent two more days in DC. Wharf, eateries, sights and monuments within reach.
- by Blossom AdamsExtremely bad communication between agency and Empire vacation team. And because of that I missed the bus and also not being able to go to Canada side.

This is a good tour if you want to learn about different parts of southern American history. Some days you’re always going to be on the move and some days you’ll only spend half the day on a tour. It’s a good trip. Also if you want to check out different cities down south where you might want to visit again or perhaps move to one day.
- by David PettiWe were fortunate to have Claire Kredens as our driver guide. She is a gifted leader and could cope with ant situation. Such a tour is useful to learn which cities you might like to re-visit because our time in each is very short. Four and five hour drives every other day is exhausting and maybe the number of places visited could be edited downward. On the whole, I enjoyed the trip altho the age range 15-99 is unwise. 15-80 would be much more realistic.

I would like to share my experience for the future travellers to be aware of the challenges they might face when travelling to the USA. I have booked my trip on January for myself and my friend and we have encountered several problems: -1 - VISA to the US.Please be aware that you might need a Visa, an ESTA would not suffice. In this case try to fill in the application asap as the waiting times for an interview date is over three months. We could not secure an interview date before our original tour departure date (April) hence we had to reschedule our tour date to September which costed us £200/person. My friend had an interview date just 10 days before the departure date, thought this would be very very stressful and wanted to cancel the tour altogether in time (within 60 days before the departure date) and we've been told that in this case there will be no refund at all, she will lose all her payment (due to the previous rescheduling). She's had her Visa/Passport just in the very last minute so she could join the tour but the late purchase of the flight ticket costed her double. -2-no transfer available from the airport to the hotel, you have to book your own transfer -3-to our shock on the very first day in NY our tour guide informed us that due to crossing the border to Canada (Niagara Falls) we might encounter problems with our Visa. As we had 10 year Visa to the US we did not have any problems finally, but this had been an unnecessary/avoidable stress and this issue (Canada Visa problems) had been nowhere specified by the travel agent beforehand. -4- this was supposed to be an English speaking tour, but because the majority of the group were Germans, turned out to be a German speaking one. Our tour guide really tried to translate everything, but we've still missed out a lot, not to mention losing lots of precious time. -5-the tour turned out to be a basic one: done only what was absolutely necessary, nothing more. The optionals in NY weren't mentioned and the others had gone ahead only if weather permitting or fulfilled the minimum of 10 travellers criteria. -6- we had only one(!) proper breakfast included (in Williamsport) in seven days + two breakfast vouchers (valid for a bagel/muffin + hot drink) in Washington DC and no dinner at all (original plan included a group dinner?) On the other hand we had several breaks during the long travels between destinations, the scenery and the cities spectacular, the hotels are very good and the tour guide had been knowledgeable and helpful.
- by Erzsebet AndrasiGood variety. Difficult having two languages spoken though. Also the bus was not great. Some seats were damaged. It wasn’t clean from the start.

Unfortunately, it was disappointing due to the Travel Director's lack of professionalism and organizational skills. He blamed not having his tour box because it was sent somewhere else. He didn't accompany us on most excursions unless it was food related and he did not narrate or provide any commentary on the trip. He lacked knowledge, was unhelpful and did not work with the group to provide information. During our "No Dinner" welcome, at best sparse appetizers we didn't even introduce ourselves to our fellow travelers and blamed the company about dinner, though his name was on the email that said we would have a Welcome Dinner. He always had excuses for things instead of helpful encouragement.
- by Betty BrockbankTour director and driver were excellent!!! We were very disappointed with the coach. Something happened and apparently we didn’t get the bus we were supposed to. This bus was old , dirty, the seats didn’t work, some of the windows lost their seal so it was hard to see out of them. The video system didn’t work for the tour director to show pictures. On a positive note the food was great and the accommodations were very nice. The director and driver took it all in stride and that helped. Guess when you spend the amount of money that you do on these trips you expect a little better.

This trip was run like a school trip, we were told that we had to stick to the schedule rigidly even though I asked several times to visit a different museum/shop. Free time was limited and it seemed like the guide had specific ideas of what he wanted to do and see. Our guide also left us on a subway in New York to get home close to midnight and then we had issues getting checked into the hostel. FYI most tour guides make sure their group gets to the hotel safely and without hassle. Waste of time and money.
- by SA lot of travelling but you get to see a lot in a short amount of time. Excellent guides!

This was an ultra-well-organised tour, all facilities and information was of the highest quality. The tour guides were hand-picked to make sure that all tour guests had the best experience in their own language (even two tour guides if that was necessary. Exemplary experience, I can highly recommend this company as Top Notch.
- by Andrew BebbMake good review for tour in usa for 4 days related to good hotels on time professional tour guide and very good experience ChatGPT said: ChatGPT Here’s Fantastic 4-Day Tour in the USA – Highly Recommend! We had an incredible 4-day tour in the USA that exceeded all our expectations! From the start, everything was perfectly organized, and the entire experience was seamless. The hotels we stayed at were top-notch, offering both comfort and convenience. Each hotel was centrally located, which made it easy for us to explore the local area during our free time. The rooms were clean, spacious, and had all the amenities we needed to unwind after a full day of sightseeing. Our tour guide was amazing—always on time, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable about each destination. They went above and beyond to ensure that everyone in the group was comfortable and enjoying themselves. They shared fascinating historical insights, fun facts, and even gave us personalized tips for exploring each city on our own. Overall, this was an unforgettable experience. The itinerary was well-planned, allowing us to see and experience a great deal without feeling rushed. Whether it was visiting iconic landmarks, enjoying local cuisine, or simply taking in the beautiful scenery, every day brought something special. I highly recommend this tour for anyone looking to explore the USA with a professional and well-organized company. We’ll definitely be booking again for future trips!

This was a very good trip. Would of loved to have more time on Nantucket. At least one and a half days to two days would be great. More time in RI too. All in all a really nice time. I’ll come back and do an other tour next year or sooner. Great bus and driver ( Joann) and good guide (Steve) ! Thanks 😊
- by Cynthia C KusilekBecause of the itinerary, I joined the tour and oh, boy, I surely wasn't mistaken. It was a great adventure from beginning to end. The only missing piece is the start of the Revolution, which is situated in Boston. That would have rounded up the experience to a T. Anyhow, the tour guide was great and fun. It happened to be a relative small group tour of 21 people; that helped a lot too in terms of logistics, efficiency and orderliness. But the tour bus could have been better by having WiFi and more sound insulation, especially at the back where the engine and the air-conditioning were noisier;the overhead built-in speakers could have been better; as it was, they were kind of muffled in the rear again. Overall, it was worth every penny. For history buffs, it could not get any better, actually experiencing the real thing, immersing in it all than just reading the events online or in book format. Once in a lifetime experience. Never a dull moment.

- by Victoria KalettaCitypass was late coming through until I chased it and hotel had an issue with the single supplement so tried to charge me again for a room trying to make me refund with Contiki. Spoiled the start of my trip so had to chase Contiki when I just had arrived. Think I could've done the entire trip cheaper to be honest. Not sure what value Contiki added.

We really enjoyed our hike through the Presidential Range in NH. The trip was well organized and the our guide Sean was excellent! We could not have asked for a better guide. He was very informative on what to expect each day as well as extremely patient with all of us. We learned so much from him as we travelled from mountain to mountain and would highly recommend Sean and Wildland Trekking if considering a hiking trip. Sean - we can't thank you enough for making our hike a such wonderful and memorable experience and one that we will always remember.
- by Lou CocceOur guide - Sean - went above and beyond. Highly recommend.

Very disappointing tour. Only 1 day out of 7 actually stuck to the advertised itinerary. Very little time to explore places, bus got lost on more than one occasion, activities were cancelled with no adequate alternative and our highlight hotel was swapped for a very poor alternative, miles from anywhere, which meant extra hours on the coach instead of seeing the area. We complained and have had absolutely no satisfaction. They admit the tour was disappointing but will not even consider any sort of refund or compensation. Don't use this company if you want the advertised holiday. They apparently have the right to change as much as they want without any comeback.
- by CarolynI was hoping we'd stop more so that I could take more pictures of foliage but overall I enjoyed all that we did. Brigette is a great person, with a fantastic personality.

I have filled this in already, but if you ask me again, the tour itself was amazing. The driver was absolutely superb, but I’m sorry the tour director well was not good It took us four days to get our labels ,four days to start the rotation of the bus he never gave us the right information and in the end we just was all smiling saying what will William do wrong today I’m sorry but the man is in the wrong job. The rest of the tour was absolutely brilliant love the people that were on the coach, the hotels were fine, the one near the beach ,we had No food As William told us there was a restaurant at the next hotel well we all walked there when we arrived. It was beach bar and they had run out of food and was shutting at 6:45 . There was a small cafe on site and we saw the other bus people going in for an evening meal ,so if possible could you arrange this and it could be an option exter !!! As we had No food! There was no were else to go !!! Or change the hotel!!!
