We completed the 7 day Private Tour with our driver Ranga who was professional and knowledgeable throughout the tour. Ranga unfortunately had a few car issues which did not impact on our tour and he was able to find a mechanic in the first few days. The car was always washed, cleaned and spotless. We were able to skip any activities that didn't suit us without issue. It was difficult to work out the ticket cost at sites as the internet had many varying prices. Most were double or 3 times the advised amount so research and choose carefully what you wish to see. Malintha our Tour consultant was in contact throughout the tour and even managed to obtain tickets for the Ella Train ride which we know are difficult to get. Our highlights were definitely the Sigiriya Lion Rock climb, the Train Ride, Little Adams Peak, the visits to the Matale Spice Gardens, Tea Factory, Gem Factory , 9 arches Bridge and the Turtle hatchery.

It was an amazing experience from start to finish. The natural beauty of the country is incredible and the most important asset of it, the people, were always friendly, smiling and welcoming. Our guide/driver Gayan made the trip enjoyable and safe. He was always eager to answer all our questions and he was always patient with us. We came us costumers and left as friends. The accomodation hotels were satisfying eventhough the facilities were a bit dated, but we didn't mind. However the visit to the herbal garden was l a tourist trap to sell their extremely expensive products

I had an incredible 7-day tour in Sri Lanka with Holiday Lanka Tours and it was an experience I'll never forget. From start to finish, everything was perfectly organized. Our driver, Isuru, was absolutely amazing—friendly, professional, and knowledgeable, making every part of the trip enjoyable and stress-free. The hotels that we stayed in were different to what was listed on our itinerary. The first location in Negombo we were told we’d stay in a beachfront resort but we were a 20 minute drive from the coast. In our final location Galle we were looking forward to being on the the beach. Our tour operator on the day we were meant to be staying Galle said he had to change our hotel as they didn’t have air conditioning to a place that was 15 minutes away from the beach. I contacted the hotel we were meant to stay in and they said they have availability, all their rooms have air conditioning, they also informed me that the tour company cancelled the booking a month ago. I stated all what I have mentioned above to the tour operator there was some negotiations had but we still had to pay the difference of the room. These frustrations gave us a really negative experience during our family holiday and resolving them were not easy. The location and stops of the trip after great, but do not go with this your company

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our 5-Day Essential tour with Stelaranholidays. They went above and beyond to ensure a stress-free experience. The Yala safari was just one of the activities organized by Stelaranholidays. We also visited a turtle hatchery, went on a Madu River Safari, explored a Mask factory, toured a Spice garden, and visited the Galle Dutch fort. Whether it was cultural, religious, adventurous, beach-related, or nature-focused, Sri Lanka had it all. Despite being informed about the difficulties of the roads leading to the Yala safari entrance, our guide Chandana and our jeep driver Kumara skillfully navigated through, providing us with a fantastic and unforgettable experience. We saw bears, leopards, deer, elephants, and peacocks, thoroughly enjoying this tour. Throughout the tour, we experienced various aspects of Sri Lanka, always feeling safe, secure, and well-informed. Chandana, our tour guide, was a warm, intelligent, and sensitive individual."

For us, we are coming from Cyprus. One of our friends recommended contacting Stelaran Holidays directly. He provided us with the owner's number and suggested that we call and ask for him. Our friend has also shared your number with the owner, who will offer us special rates. Finally, we will arrive on 10th January 2024 at 6:30 am in Colombo. We chose a full-day safari, and our driver was Kumara. The park is beautiful and full of surprises. We spotted three leopards and several elephants, one so close to the jeep that we had to back up. There were also many other beautiful animals, including elephants, deer, peacocks, parrots, monkeys, buffaloes, mongooses, wild boars, crocodiles, marmots, monitor lizards, hares, jackals, numerous birds, and of course, a bear. Moreover, we saw another leopard right in front of us! We consider ourselves very lucky. We had lunch at the beach, which was really nice. The full-day safari is long, from 5 am to 6 pm, but it's much better because there are fewer cars in the park from 10 am to 3 pm. Kumara was knowledgeable about the park and careful when driving. Our guide was also very good.

We had a lovely time and taken very good care of

This was a great tour, no complaints. I personally enjoyed it a lot. We experienced a bit of everything. history, culture, food, safaris, and the beach. The best part was having Lahiru as our guide. We learned so much about the country from him, and he was very respectful and kind. The hotels we stayed in were all comfortable and luxurious, with great hospitality. I would definitely recommend this tour to everyone, no matter their age, because it's the perfect way to get an overview of Sri Lanka.

We’re two Aussie girls who booked this tour for August, marking our first trip to Sri Lanka. We’d heard a lot about the country’s safaris, food, and history. Initially, we were a bit disappointed when Lahiru told us that it was just the two of us on the tour, with no other participants. But we trusted our gut and decided to go for it. Overall, the tour was a blast, offering a great mix of experiences like cooking lessons, safaris, and hikes. The hotels were top-notch, with breakfast and dinner included. The hospitality was outstanding; we were treated really well at every place, and all our rooms were comfy and clean. Our driver and guide, Kesara, were both legends. They treated us with so much respect, and it was clear they were well-known and respected, as everyone we met seemed to know them and the company. Kesara also gave us useful tips on avoiding common scams, which helped us have a smooth and trouble-free trip. Lahiru, the owner, checked in with us daily to see how things were going. We didn’t get to meet him in person, but a big thanks to him for everything.

We had a very enjoyable private trip to Sri Lanka over Christmas/New Year. Our driver/guide was well versed in the traffic, which was very unfamiliar to us, and was always safe, The program seemed very unsuitable for travelers aged 99. On the other hand, we could simply skip parts of the program that seemed too ambitious for our physical condition. We were still well occupied. For fitter travelers, the density of the program may be a little too tightly conceived. All in all, the private tour largely met our expectations.

Our tour guide Kumari went out of his way to help us to enjoy our tour - the staff at leopards nest were gracious and especially attentive waiters - unfortunately we experienced exceptional rainfall and bad weather for much of our visit which meant that we failed to see even one leopard (understandably they don’t like being wet!!) - the driver did his best despite rough conditions to find a leopard so he gets a positive for effort

There was a lot of driving. The distance between Rainforest Eco Lodge and Leopards Nest in Yalla is almost 5 hours due to the elevation and dirt road conditions; the travel company estimated 3 hours which is unrealistic. I missed lunch. I wasn't disappointed as I was able to make the Safari. The Jeep driver was accommodating and brought me something to eat on the Safari. The Rainforest Eco Lodge was an amazing place. The Yalla Leopards Nest Glamping location was muddy, so a little unpleasant arriving in the dark and not being able to see what few stepping stones there were. Other than that, this is a really special place.

Amazing tour! Everything was super organised and the our tour guide Sam made the trip unforgettable. We felt we got to see so much of Sri Lanka in such a short space of time and can’t wait to return one day. Be prepared to pay extra for some of the optional activities but they are so worth it! Some meals are also not included but Sam made sure to always take us to affordable and authentic places. Can’t recommend this tour enough!

I had an amazing time in Sri Lanka, such a beautiful country. Prasad the guide was fantastic from beginning to end. He always went the extra mile to make sure the trip was enjoyable, safe and ran smoothly. He shared a lot of local knowledge and was very professional. We got so much done including additional activities that the tour guide went out of his way to organise. The transport and hotels were all to good standard and I would highly recommend this tour.
