Thank you to everyone who nominated a frontline healthcare worker for this contest. Over the past few weeks, the inspiring stories of selflessness that we have come to hear about, and all the good that is being done across the globe during these times of hardship, have moved us and made it incredibly hard to pick just one person.

After reviewing hundreds of nominations and a lot of thought, we have chosen Elizabeth Gretkierewicz — a registered nurse from Michigan — who was nominated by her fiancé. In addition to working on the frontlines with COVID-19 patients, she has also been taking part and initiating philanthropic projects to help her community by volunteering at food banks and setting up a program to help discharged elderly patients with meal assistance. Congratulations Elizabeth!
