    The tour was fast-paced for 10 days through 7 countries but was a FABULOUS vacation! Our tour guide, Antonio Veiga was EXCELLENT at navigating the predetermined itinerary while adding a few additional stops along the way. I have one word of caution to travelers for this type of quick tour... you must be physically able to walk at least 8K steps a day and navigate stairs well. There is a great deal of walking (sometimes on uneven pavement) and a daily routine of stepping on and of the bus several times a day (aside from stairs at many locations and hotels). This can be quite strenuous if you have knee, back or heart issues. Otherwise, it was an EXCELLENT tour!

    The overall tour and its organization was excellent. The package included tours and the optional tours were well organized and the tour guides were well informed and covered the most important aspects of each city that we visited given the time frame that the ship was docked. It was unfortunate that the tour group was unable to embark in Romania due to the recent floods and the likelihood of the Danube flooding around Turnu Magurele, necessitating the tour organizers transferring the group via bus to Port Vidin, Bulgaria to board the ship. The crew when approached were diligent, responsive and attentive to the guests requests and needs. The ship was kept in a hygienically clean condition and the food not only varied and generous but of a very high standard. All in all, I loved this cruise experience.

    "We saw a lot in this 13 country trip over 26 days, however, the trip would have been more enjoyable and less stressful if Expat would have chosen better quality hotels, modified the itinerary so that the group would have arrived at the hotel by 6 or 7 pm instead of 9 - 9:30 pm followed by a 6:30 am breakfast and 7:15 am back on the bus schedule. Expat should identify that participants have to be quite fit, able to walk at a speed of 5 km/3 miles per hour for 1-3 hours on the city orientation tours and have to carry/drag their heavy suitcase up 2 or more flights of stairs because some of the hotels have no elevator or inadequate elevators. The tour leader should also slow down his/her walking speed to avoid falls and loosing tour members during the walk!
