- Angelina· June 1st, 2019In the very beginning we got quite confused as there were only 2 reviews for this tour and both saying opposite things. As we were planning a short trip to Sri Lanka as an anticipated treat for my birthday, we had a budget and this tour was perfectly fitting into it.From being skeptical in the very beginning we ended up with very much enjoying it till the end. Our guide,Vijitha, was awesome: friendly, wise and attentive. Surely we would have preferred having a lil bit more adventure and more ‘movement’ as it requires several hours of travel in the car but the overall itinerary was great. The hotels were kind of an escalation: we started from a remote hotel in Kandy, very quite place, nothing fancy, clean room and awesome staff-special mention for the Manager, great guest relation. Then we faced a last minute hotel change in Ramboda however,we have been given an amazing room facing the waterfalls which sound accompanied us through the night. The hotel in Hambantota was a very cute and colorful hotel with absolutely pleasant staff.the last hotel in Colombo was the most contemporary: I believe we have been given an upgrade and couldn’t be more greatful, excellent view on the ocean. In all the hotel the food was great and the staff very accommodating. We will certainly plan to come back to Sri Lanka again to visit the Northern part of it.Show moreTrip date: May 2019
- CACédric· April 6th, 2019Please read this until the end! I mostly do not rate or comment anything but this i would like to share with future travellers. I would not recommend this tour!! When booking this tour they might ask you "only" 450$ for 5 days/4nights per person, 900$ for 2 person. I was asked to pay 900$ even if i was on a solo trip, after all i did not had to pay 900$, but 450$. BUT be aware that this doesn't include lunch and dinner but only breakfast in your hotels. The hotels are 3*. Two hotels had no wifi in the room, only in the lobby, one had no Tv, another had Tv but it didn't work, 2 of them had a pool. I took my time to check how much every hotel costs and came to approximately 100$ for 4 nights, which includes breakfast. My driver was sincerely a good man, but he also told me that he is not paid by the travel agency, BUT gets a 2% commission on everything you buy (gifts, souvenirs) at the places he takes you to. Also be aware that every gift and souvenir you buy, you can buy it on local markets for maybe 20% of what they will ask you. You will see good places and visit great things, but everytime you'll go to one place you'll have to pay entrance (i've paid approximately 300$ on entrances and tips for the guides). And mostly you don't even get a receipt of the entrances. The driver gets his fuel paid and maybe also a little commission for the tour, but at the end he will also ask you for tips, which i paid because he was a good man and deserves better. As my driver told me he only gets a little commission, i would classify this as modern slavery from the agency. Avoid this tour, you can maybe find serious tours, or find some local people who are serious and will get you a good tour.Show moreTrip date: April 2019
- ZCZoe· January 4th, 2019This tour is great but be prepared to be busy! There is lots to see and a lot of travel but it is not relaxing! Our guide was great. The accommodation was amazing on two nights but below average the other two nights.Trip date: December 2018
