  We recognise the complexity of organising and co-ordinating all the services which go to make up a tour. Our guide, Antonella was knowledgeable and helpful at all times. Our driver, Pino, was experienced and capable. The young lady who sang in the garden at Modica was delightful. We have one suggestion; please add a note to the itinerary explaining that the entrance fee to the archeological parks is not included in the price of the tour. We chose this tour because it included so many locations to visit, but at times this was hectic. Antonella was careful to allow people who did not want to visit some places the freedom to spend time on their own. The lunches and dinners included were welcome, both for the quality of the meals and the additional value for money. Taken as a whole, this tour met all our expectations. Congratulations.   The itinerary was well planned. The days were quite long but that was ok for me. Rita, our tour guide was very good and very helpful..One minor criticism were the number of travellers on the tour. We had 42 people which seemed excessive.

  Great seeing wonderful places. However a few simple things would have assisted. Town maps ate free. The tour director could give our before each town visited. Bus driver having a GPS & using it. Having a professional driver make many wrong turns in the usual tourist spots is hard to believe. Tour size advertised as 0 to 40. We started with 42 & increased mid trip to over 50. False advertising. When having meals simply telling people what they would eat. Once again a simple thing & no cost. Adding City taxes to the overall tour cost would also be simple for everyone. No advice to people to where seat belts. I would hate to have seen an accident. Once again a simple thing to remind people & no cost to the company.

  Tour was excellent because we had Angelo as our guide. His knowledge was wonderful and his personality is infectious. Everyone on our tour enjoyed Angelo's knowledge and humourous stories. We recommend Angelo to be the winner of the Tour Guide award. The tour gave us a great overview of Sicily and it's different regions. We enjoyed everything about our tour and would recommend it to family and friends.

  Itinerary was a good overview of Sicily. Overall organisation was good - we always knew where to go and what to expect. Our guide Angelo was great, knowledgeable and easy to understand. Food included a lot of fish and seafood. If you don't like that then you will get pasta and tomato sauce. I had that three times. The first night's dinner was appalling and not appreciated by the whole group. We had some good meals but often the food was boring. Guides we had were generally good. The Guide to the Piazza Amerina was knowledgeable and interesting when we could understand her - she spoke far to fast for us to decipher her accent for 50% of the time. The guide for the Ragusa and Modica cathedrals was very knowledgeable but there was too much information - I had trouble making sense of the main features. I think the cathedral in Modica was an unnecessary addition for very little extra - we had lots of information but it was not different enough from Ragusa. We could have had more about the ceramics for which I had believed Sicily was known.

  Angelo the guide was excellent. Was disappointed by the amount of extra funds we had to pay for hotel taxes and entry fees into sites visited. These should be included in the price or at least advised of the cost when booking the tour. Some days are too long. Dinner at 9.30 is too late when you have an early start the next day.

  TourRadar subcontracted this tour to a local (Maltese) operator, who in turned subbed it again to ANOTHER operator. TR's communication ability was already poor because they are a bunch of ill-trained young people dashing around the 25th floor of a building on Dundas (that would be Toronto). For example, they quoted the tour in Canadian $$$ then invoiced in US. This was an unethical move which WOULD have gained them un-earned profit. It must have taken 30+/- email exchanges to correct the situation above. There were many other communication problems with TR - no need to go into here - resulting from the 2 interfaces with their subs. The tour itself was fine - well thought itinerary and a really excellent guide - Angelo. The hotels were, for the most part fine. We did find the start / finish hostelry - Il Principe in Catania - to be a bit dirty and with unfriendly staff - not 4-star worthy.
