It was a good mix of urban and rural life, temples and historical monuments, natural wonders and wildlife, and we learned so much about Sri Lankan history and culture. Our guide Buddhika was warm yet professional, and very knowledgeable. He took great care of us, often going above and beyond what would be expected from a travel guide. We have experienced so many things from the scenic train ride to the safari in Yala national park! The tour as well organised and ran very smoothly. All of the accomodations were amazing and it was clear that BH Lanka tours had arranged the best of everything for us. The best seats for activities and the best rooms. Our tour guide Buddhika Bandara has been so amazing. He has been super attentive to our needs, but also friendly and full of knowledge. As a first time traveller, it was very helpful to have a driver and tour guide who knew their way around, could speak the language, and genuinely knew everything about the country. Janaka was an awesome guide who cared about our experience and wanted to show us the amazing places. We were lucky enough to end up on a private tour, which meant Janaka could adjust the itinerary for us, including going to Minneriya National Park instead of Pinnewalla Sanctuary. It would have been nice to spend some more time in each of these places, so would recommend a longer trip if possible. As a solo parent with a young child, I felt comfortable and safe throughout, and we really enjoyed our first visit to Sri Lanka. My child thoroughly enjoyed bumping into wild animals and visiting an elephant and turtle sanctionary. We were even lucky enough to come across a leopard on safari. Heshan, our tour guide, made a big effort to make sure we saw all the key sites. He was professional but still made a big effort to make jokes and bond with my child which made her time in Sri Lanka even better during some of the longer car journeys. He also shared his knowledge of Sri Lanka and its history and gave us some tips for when the tour came to an end. My child and I are already discussing coming back with the rest of the family at some point.Show more
