View in EnglishThe two-week tour with our guide "Janaka" was, among other things and mainly because of Janaka, an incredibly beautiful vacation. It would have been impossible to see so many beautiful aspects and sights of Sri Lanka without our guide. Sometimes time is a little tight and it is sometimes exhausting, but of course there is no other way in two weeks. Some of the activities included in the package are very touristy and there are some additional costs during the trip. However, as our guide repeated several times, you are not forced to buy anything. Many people in Sri Lanka live from tourism. We would like to thank Janaka again for this wonderful vacation and the great memories. He made the trip very flexible with his ever obliging nature & always very considerate to our requests. Only really spoke when spoken to & gave basic information but quite knowledgeable. Took us to little spots off the scheduled route & plenty of breaks during the long drives between locations. Overall satisfied & would recommend the tour if you don’t mind long periods in the car. - GMGeorge· January 17th, 2024Had a great time with our driver Nalin Jay he knew all the local spots to catch pictures of wildlife, scenic views and tucked away shrines and temples as well as amazing spots to have delicious lunches. He was also full of knowledge about the history about Buddhism and local wildlife. The tour was very good, unfortunately due to lack wet season we missed a few things but we still saw so much and had a great experience. Usually independent travellers, we would not have chosen most of the hotels as they were quite loud (parties/music) and a long way from any town. Some were not the superior we paid extra for, I suspect because of the time of year. We could not swim at any of the four beach locations due to undertow x 2,/bad weather/not on the beach. I would definitely recommend this tour but I personally would book my own hotels that suit us best. However the care taken by Kani and the itinerary were outstanding. He was the best we could imagine and I am grateful for his patience and attention to detail. It was a great tour itinerary which allowed a variety of activity plus down time. We paid extra for the superior hotels but at least three were 3 star at best and every one was miles from any town, Normally we are independent travellers booking hotels that suit us which would be quiet hotels near a town. These were not. None of the four beach locations could we swim at due to undertow x 2, weather x 1 and Marino Beach on a railway line/rocks 10 min drive to a beach. However we saw some great things and had fabulous experiences and would recommend this tour especially Kani.
