- ARAnnalisa· August 29th, 2024What an amazing experience! Himalayana Heart Treking went above and beyond to ensure we were accommodated and comfortable with our trek. Greeting us with smiling faces despite our delay at Kathmandu airport and making sure we were in good hands our entire trip. Our guide - Kanchha and porter were most gengorous and supportive. My son got altitude sickness when we hit Lobuche and our guide and porter were so accommodating and ensured his health and safety came first. We had a collegue who suggested we take coloured pens, lollies and chocolate to hand out to the village kids as we treked - they absoluted loved this! Despite our trip being cut short - it was 100% wotrth the experience.Show moreTrip date: April 2024
- YJYasmin· May 21st, 2023Excellent trip from before arriving to the last day. Fast and reliable communication from Thakur while booking the trek. My guide Hari provided outstanding service from picking me up at the airport, through the 15 day trek, to my departure. From base camp through Cho- La pass Hari had my safety in mind. Every day ran smoothly and as a solo traveller I felt comfortable and safe. Every aspect of the trip was organised and planed to perfection. I enjoyed each moment even the difficult ones due to Hari’s assistance and expertise in the mountains.Show moreHimalaya Heart Treks & Expedition[P] Ltd commented on this reviewDear Yasmin, We thank you, first of all, for managing your valuable time to write such kind words about us and It is a pleasure to see that you feel this way about our service and the adventure we had together. - JFJEAN· November 13th, 2019It was a nice trekking experience with an itinerary from Namche to Everest base camp and then to Gokyo via Cho La Pass I would strongly recommend for its magnificent landscapes surrounded by one of the highest mountains and by a well proportioned effort to be done every day. The duration of each stage is well balanced and suitable for anybody who is a good hiker. Our guide, Bolram, was considerate and helpful all along the trek and knew how to adapt to anyone’s effort. Our first porter was unfortunately a bit sick after a few days, but the agency Himalaya Heart Treks expedition could immediately replace him very efficiently. Our new porter was also very nice. I would recommend this trek with this agency, who has well organized this unforgettable tour. Thank you very much to all the team.Show moreHimalaya Heart Treks & Expedition[P] Ltd commented on this reviewDear JEAN FRANCOIS HOSKING's We thank you, first of all, for managing your valuable time to write such kind words about us. - NKNatalie· November 12th, 2019I trekked to the EBC via Chola Pass in a group of three in September 19. It was an experience I'd recommend to anyone and, to my surprise, the trek is accessible to most people with a reasonable level of fitness. The only disappointing thing was that, as we trekked at the end of the monsoon season, it got quite cloudy, so we didn't get the full view of the mountains, but that was a risk I was prepared to take. It also started raining heavily towards the end of our trip, and we ended up stranded in Lukla for a few days alongside some 400 other trekkers as planes were grounded. Unfortunately, many trekkers and tour operators fall victims of the dire infrastructure situation in Nepal and the lack of alternative return routes. One thing the operators need to make sure of, however, is to seek cheap forms of alternative transport first, instead of the rip-off helicopter flights. Accommodation was basic lodges but perfectly comfortable and more than you can expect for this type of trek - certainly more comfortable than a tent! Be prepared that it will get quite cold though and make sure you have a sleeping bag. Food choice was also great, although as produce is scarce in the mountains and the menus tend not to vary between the lodges, you kinda get tired of eating pasta all the time..:) Food quality varied between the lodges but was generally good. Our guide Arjun was a stand-out and I cannot compliment him enough - we called him a walking encyclopedia for the amount of knowledge he has about the mountains and for quoting the names and heights of just about any mountain we could see. This being his 40th or so trek, he can probably walk it with his eyes closed. We had many interesting conversations with Arjun about the Nepalese culture and way of life, which really enriched my experience on this trek. One other thing I can commend Arjun on is the flexibility and patience he showed with our group - we were all inexperienced hikers and 59yo person amongst us, which meant that we as a group were perhaps slower than others, but he never made a single comment about it and always adjusted his pace. There are many more things I can say but space is limited... Overall, a fantastic experience and if I ever get to return to Himalayas, I will definitely consider Himalaya Heart & TrekShow moreHimalaya Heart Treks & Expedition[P] Ltd commented on this reviewDear Natalie Klisevica's Thank you so much for your valuable time to write review about Everest base camp and chola pass trek and about us. - Sage· November 6th, 2019As a solo person I booked this tour through tour radar and did the "Everest Base Camp Gokyo Lakes Via Cho La" trek. The entire experience from booking to the last day has been so easy and stress free thanks to the fantastic staff (especially Hari and Arjun). From the day I booked it there was an easy to access platform on tour radar that allowed me to communicate with the company regarding any questions or queries I might have about the upcoming trek. There was already a lot of information provided on the website but as a first time trekker I found this very useful and I was also able to easily arrange hotel/airport transfers before I got to Nepal. When I got to Kathmandu I was picked up at the airport and taken to the hotel no issues at all. Upon arrival I was shown my room and introduced to Hari and the other trekkers on my tour. Hari was brilliant he explained everything we needed to know about the upcoming trek and answered all our questions then gave us all his contact details and made it clear that if we ever had any issues to not be afraid to contact him and then he introduced us to our guide Arjun as well. The tour its self was amazing, from the incredible guide to the luck of the weather. Arjun was a brilliant tour guide, he is very knowledgeable about everything in the mountains and can answer any questions you might have. I felt like we were very lucky to have Arjun as a guide, he was very flexible with what we wanted to do and often made suggestions of what could make the trek better (from food suggestions to the suggestion of doing Kala Pathar for sunset instead of sunrise). Our small group of four (three trekkers plus a guide) was quite lucky and none of us became unwell on the trek so we actually managed to finish the trek a day early. Himilaya heart were brilliant in making sure we got the flights we wanted back to Kathmandu and ensured we had accommodation back in Kathmandu for the extra night. Overall the entire experience with Himilaya heart was extraordinary and they couldn't have done a better job if they tried. I'll most definitely be suggesting this company for anyone who wishes to do trekking throughout the Himilayas and I won't hesitate to use this company again!! - KTKiran· April 19th, 2019My tour started a day earlier than it was supposef to, which was fine with me. This was due to renovation works at KTM domestic airport. Hari, assister me all the way to the airport and check-in. The guide, Lokindra, met me at the other end. The tour was amazing, the guide was calm and good company. It was well organised, and exceeded my expectations. I was on my own but I felt comfortable and safe! Hari and Lokindra are true gentlement. I am truly grateful! - ECEmma· January 25th, 2019Couldn’t be happier with this tour. First of all everything was organised very efficiently and smoothly which made every step of the way from the moment we landed in Kathmandu so easy and took the stress out of it. We were welcomed to Nepal by very friendly staff and stayed in a great hotel prior to the trek. We were able to leave a bag full of things with the hotel so we didn’t have to bring unnecessary things on the trek which was good for us since we were traveling before and after and means less to carry for the porters. The trek itself was unbelievable. Every day was more amazing than the last. Our guide Arjun absolutely made the experience the best it could have been. He was so patient with us on the days we weren’t feeling well, always cared for us and believed in us. He was so knowledgeable and taught us so much about the culture and heritage of the villages and sherpas which made it a very rich cultural experience. He had answers to all our questions and made every step of the way an adventure. He was so kind and caring and flexible with the group and our plans. We stayed in very comfortable lodges along the way and had choices of anything off the menu for meals, which were all of a great standard! Our porters too were wonderful and we enjoyed getting to know them. Overall this tour was an incredible experience, one I would highly recommend to anyone. Prices were very reasonable too in comparison to the many other companies I looked into- and it is run and owned by Nepalese so we were glad to be supporting the locals. I will definitely book through Himalaya Heart Trekking for my next trip.Show moreHimalaya Heart Treks & Expedition[P] Ltd commented on this reviewDear Emma Thank you for such a great review. - NNNnè· January 2nd, 2019Nothing could prepare me for such an adventure in the Himalayas and we could not have had a better guide than Krishna. Right from the outset, Krishna was very clear about the itinerary and what to expect and he answered all of our questions. The pace of the tour was just right so it suited our individual capabilities and Krishna was really flexible in adapting the tour so that we got the best out of it and went to the sights that we really wanted to see. Krishna felt like more than a guide to us and he was extremely easy to be around (and easily spend two weeks with!) and to talk with. He was very perceptive to gauging our disposition to parts of the trek that could be potentially difficult, scary or both and he never hesitated to allay our fears. This was sometimes by giving encouragement when the trek got tough or by providing physical assistance - for example by helping me cross the particularly icy boulders on a cliff edge that had a 250m drop to a freezing river! This was a really special trip and we’re glad that we shared it with Krishna. A big thanks to Krishna for making us laugh when things got tough and we were so tired and cold, for taking us on such an amazing trek with such beautiful scenery, for making us feel so welcome and for making the trip so memorable.Show moreHimalaya Heart Treks & Expedition[P] Ltd commented on this reviewDear Nne Thank you for such a great review.
