We experienced all the fantastic ancient sites including Alexandria. The hotels, Nile River cruise ship, in country flights, ground transportation, food, Egyptologist guides and tours were first class. The entire adventure could not have been better. As far as booking with Indus Travels, I would never deal with them again. The booking was difficult, we felt that Indus Travels were dishonest and did not share information when asked. However, Memphis Tours in Egypt delivered with excellence. We felt well taken care of. Hotels, transportation, content of excursions, and meals were of high quality. The first hotel was pretty average, but the view of the pyramids was fantastic! On the nile cruise the guide did not take us to the unfinished obelisk or let us have the felucca ride and he made up some excuse when I pointed this out. Instead he was telling everyone how much to tip the motorboat drivers in US$, when I would have thought this would have already been included as part of the first rate tour. He also told us how much we should be tipping the guide in US$. I found this offensive coming from a non tipping country. Tips on this tour should have been discretionary considering the initial cost of the tour. Apart from that, the tour of Egypt was great. Watch out for guides who take you to shops in order to get kickbacks and overcharge on camel rides in order to get their cut.Show moreTrip date: April 2019

They were very knowledgeable about all historic sites and were very informative about scheduling. They keep you away from scams and teach you how to be savvy and safe. The included tours were interesting and informational. The Livingstone Ship was very nice and clean. Ramy our guide from Luxor to Aswan was wonderful, a real professional. And Rames our tour leader in Cairo was great. He arranged a taxi back to the hotel when I wasn't feeling well and arranged breakfast bags on our early departure days.
