- Sarah· March 31st, 2019We visited Uganda for 7 days/6 nights. We undertook tracking of chimpanzees and gorillas, visited Queen Elizabeth National Park, Kibale National Park, Bigodi Swamp and the Kazinga Channel on Lake Victoria. This was an incredible trip of a lifetime and the driver Umar was so knowledgeable about all of the wildlife and all aspects relating to Uganda. He was a wonderful guide and I would highly recommend him. The trip was extremely well organised from the start to the end- everyday was planned with activities. We were fortunate to see so many animals including lions, hippos, elephants, buffalo, zebra crocodiles, Gorillas, chimpanzees, 6 other species of monkey and many many birds. The lodges were so welcoming, clean, pictoresque and all delightful to stay in. The first was primate lodge-a stunning setting in the middle of the forest. The staff especially Wilson were so incredibly kind and hospitable during our stay-they made us feel so welcome. The second hotel was Mwaya lodge-set on Victoria lake, the largest lake in Africa. The boat ride that we had on the lake was amazing and enabled us to see a huge number of animals grazing by and swimming in the lake. The third lodge was Silverback lodge which was located in the beautiful town of Bwindi. This had stunning views of the forest and was set in a very peaceful location close to the gorilla tracking start point. Overall the trip was fantastic. I would highly recommend Pita Safaris and Umar the driver. In terms of organisation, hospitality and comfort for the trip these were all 5*. Thank you so much!Show moreTrip date: March 2019
