An eye for detail and a wealth of knowledge. . The ship was great! But the crew were outstanding! Super food, it never ends. Love the top deck, you can layout in the sun or sit in the shade. This experience was absolutely incredible and we were able to see and explore so many parts of Egypt in a short time. Our tour guide for the week was Medhat. He was always professional and was the most organised and knowledgeable tour guide we’ve ever had. He let us know in advance about timing of tours, reasonable prices to expect to pay for things and what the plan for the next day was. I found this very helpful and reduced the stress greatly. His communication with us was exceptional and if you have the option to select your guide I highly recommend requesting him. We were also very happy with the quality of the food on board!Show more

- CSCourtney· December 25th, 2023This tour was amazing. I'm a solo traveler so I had my own personal tour guide for the whole trip. For the most part my tour guides were very knowledgeable and that is coming from a history teacher. The only semi negative is the food on the boat was only passable. I was able to eat enough to have the energy for the excursions but it was pretty bland. Though if your most interested in the historical sites and not the boat cruise part then I would suggest sticking to the 4 day tour: you go to the same sites. We have seen impressive temples, the pyramids (Giza), the great Sphinx and the High Dam and „old“ Dam in Assuan. Our tour guide Sabah helped us with her excellent knowledge and told us about life of the kings, queens and the gods of egypt. We felt save and very well all the time with her. She also took care about us and organized drinks and sweets for us. - SBSara· November 27th, 2022Overall an excellent tour. Our guide, Hassan, was knowledgeable and good fun too- he really made the trip for us. Our boat was probably 2 star UK- very dated and worn. The bathroom smelled funny and didn’t feel too clean. However the bed was comfy and the food was good…also the top deck was a nice enough place to sit and take in the views. Our main purpose of the cruise was to see the temples etc and all excursions were well organised and a good amount of time was allowed at each stop. Optional tour to Abu Simbel was excellent, but we could have skipped the Nubian village (just another market selling the same stuff available at all the other markets and lots of crocodiles kept in small cages with their mouths tied shut). wasn’t really worth the 35usd pp extra. The food, although good, can become repetitive- but McDonald’s is available a few nights and other local restaurants if this is something you want. I left my phone in a temple and my guide Hassan returned in the caliche and recovered it! He saved my vacation!
