  V was one of the best and most knowledgeable tour guides I have ever had, giving us answers to any questions however obscure, sharing his wealth of knowledge on all things Sri Lanka, teaching us some of the local language and just about the only thing he didn’t know was the rule for “Black Magic” when the group were having a games night in the bar!   This tour was unbelievable! The number of activities and experiences packed into a short time is crazy but ant the same time managed to give us all the opportunity to have some down time and chill when needed! The accommodation could not have been better, from the views in Ella, to the clamping experience and topped off with an upgrade to finish the tour! The biggest thank you and mention has to be to V our guide, friend and endless knowledge source! He kept us entertained on long journeys and went above and beyond to make sure our trip went as smoothly as possible! I will be telling everyone to use Trutravels for the upcoming adventures!!!

  Where do I start? Firstly, Vajira our tour guide is the most whole hearted, genuine & caring person I have met. The tour itself was brilliant, but with the added bonus of sharing it with Vajira it was taken to a new level. We enjoyed every minute of it, the itinerary was full on but brought so many memories, moments of laughter and enabling some friendships to be made for life. On the tour, you get to see and experience a full flavour of Sri Lanka, from hiking up Sigiriya Rock, visiting the iconic temple in Kandy, cooking classes, visiting tea plantations, hopping on the train to Ella & Elephant safari. We throughly enjoyed every single activity and were more than informed throughout through Vijara’s thorough knowledge. There was not a single question that he could not answer, and went above and beyond to inform, care & enhance the tour experience. On a personal note, it was my birthday during the tour and on the day the bus had been decorated with balloons / banners. The guys also organised a cake and celebrations at the hotel, which just goes to show it is not a job for them, but true caring people. Because of all of the above, we cannot recommend this tour enough. I cannot put into words how good of a tour it was, and would like to say this was all down to the carefully designed itinerary, Silva / Lucky our drivers and finally Vijara, the best tour guide we have ever had.

  I couldn’t have asked for a better guide than V. His knowledge of Sri Lanka is amazing and his passion for his country really comes through. I feel as though I have come away with a good understanding of Sri Lanka and its culture and have learnt so much more than I was expecting which is great. V is kind and caring and at the drop of a hat was there for any one of us. He is so fun to be around and we all had many laughs. I appreciate everything V did on the tour, every second was filled with fun activities and I never felt lost or questioned my decision to join on to the tour. I would recommend it to everyone. The group was lovely and I felt so comfortable around everyone, like we were a little family for 10 days. The people you meet really makes the experience as well. My favourite activity has to be Lion’s Rock as I loved learning about it and it was fascinating to actually see the remains. I am amazed with how much Sri Lanka has to offer. Thank you.

  I have done a few tours over the years and I can confidently say that V has been the best tour guide I have ever had! His knowledge on Sri Lanka is awe-inspiring and adds so much depth to the tour. V's professionalism is truly commendable, and his talent shines through in every aspect of the tour. He is one of the nicest human beings I have ever met and will do anything for anyone. V's kindness and willingness to help anyone is remarkable. He always prioritize the group's enjoyment and goes out of his way to accommodate everyone. V's kindness and helpfulness are unmatched, and his infectious smile never fades, even with limited sleep! If it was killing bugs in rooms, changing pick up times, recommending restaurants, calling embassies or calling his local friends around Sri Lanka to help us he ALWAYS went above and beyond. He always prioritize the well-being and satisfaction of the group, going above and beyond to ensure everyone has a fantastic experience. I feel incredibly fortunate to have had V as our guide, and I highly recommend them to anyone seeking an unforgettable tour experience! I had the best time with V over the 10 days in Sri Lanka and hopefully I can see him somewhere in the world again!!! It was also so nice to hear how amazing tru travels is and the positive impact on the world they are having. It’s also nice to see employees speaking so highly about their employers too! I can’t wait to do a tru travels tour again.

  V is the best guide we could have wished for. There’s nothing he doesn’t know about Sri Lanka and he goes above and beyond for everyone in his group. He wasn’t just a tour leader, he really is a friend for life!! Thanks so much V for all your knowledge, jokes and most importantly the laughs. The experience in Sri Lanka would not have been the same without you. You have an infectious smile and bring joy to those all around, even on those early mornings. The tour was the perfect mix of culture, history, learning new things whilst still relaxing and having fun!! What an adventure and can’t wait for the next x

  I had such a great experience on the tour and would definitely do another one in the near future. All of the hotels were amazing and the itinerary was great aswell. Our tour guide made sure to go above and beyond for the group to make sure everyone was having a good time and also had lots of knowledge about all the places we visited, he would always make sure to answer every question anyone had. The tour was the perfect mixture of culture, nature and relaxation and I would definitely recommend it to others.

  Reality hasn't quite set in that I'm back home after such an amazing trip. From start to finish I can't fault the Trutravels team and the effort that went into making sure we had an amazing time. Our guide V was incredible, the most energetic guy I've ever met, down for sunrise hikes, staying up late and everything in-between! He made us all feel so comfortable and there was not a single question he couldn't answer, his knowledge was astounding and no request was too much for him!! He surely made our trip special and I cannot thank him enough (V you're awesome!!). The itinerary was great, packed full of incredible experiences. V also arranged some additional experiences for us too, visiting an orphanage and a school, which was so interesting and helped us to see how we can make a difference! I'm so happy I booked into this tour and wouldn't hesitate to book another - Thanks everyone!

  Vajira was a fantastic tour guide. He is so passionate about his country which came across in all of his wonderful stories and visits along the way. He is so smiley, happy and went out of his way to ensure everyone had what they needed and were happy on the trip. Trutravels is a fantastically organised company which I would definitely use again and will recommend to anyone. The itinerary was jam packed but excellent and we feel like we managed to explore a lot of Sri Lanka in just a number of days.
