Most of the hotels were excellent and the food was generally good with the exception of the first travel day. The chicken entrée was not edible. Neither Debbie nor I received any information on meeting time and place for the first day. At 7am, we both received a phone call from the guide that we should be meeting NOW. Both of us had requested info for several days, but never received it. All communication after the first day was clear and concise. Hotels were great though I would have liked to taste more authentic Tunisian food rather than just buffets. - SKSUHANTHI· June 24th, 2024I was a little nervous booking this tour with Tunisie Voyages, as I have been on many tours over 30 years and only used well known tour companies based in UK, US and Australia, and also because I was a 62 yr old female travelling solo. So made my choice based entirely on the reviews. However, any initial anxiety was allayed by Ekbel , who must work 24/7 as he promptly responded to all my queries, some trivial too, from Australia. At Tunis airport would have preferred to see pickup with my name or 'Tunise Voyages' instead of 'Tourradar'. So maybe let one know in advance what to look for. The itinerary and most hotels were all as expected. Meals in nearly all the hotels were good and adequate. Nothing much to do in Tozeur if you were not interested in experiencing the desert option like me. Would be good to include at least a free lift into the Medina, which I had to ask for as neither driver nor guide were doing anything else that morning. The driver, Mr Shokri, was v attentive and punctual. However, I was disappointed with the guide Mohmmed who fell short of my expectations as a tour guide. Hence, I feel I missed out on the most important reason why one prefers to go on a guided tour. He mumbles and I found it v difficult to understand his English. Also, because he was speaking in monotones all the time from the front of the car, and at times I did not know whether he was addressing the driver in Arabic or speaking to me in English. He also had a habit of walking ahead at sites/museums and giving a commentary without stopping at the various points of interest like he wanted to get it over and done with, so had to keep up with him. Otherwise, he was friendly and attentive. - ZZaijin· October 27th, 2023I did 6 days Tunisia Discovery tour. Tunisia is such beautiful country. The Tunisian people are so friendly. The hotels are good and food are good too. Everything exceeds my expectations. My driver Mehrez always opened the door for me. Great driving. Always smiling and speak good English. The guide Mahjoub is so knowledgeable. He has amazing patience to answer my hundreds questions. I have traveled to 92 countries and did numerous tours. Mahjoub is one of the best guides I have had. I feel truly lucky to have him as my guide because I am curious about everything and he always explains it in such good way. His English is almost as the same as native speaker. Ekbel is very helpful too. The only suggestion I would make is for airport pickup. Nobody holds name sign to pick me up. I was lost at arrival exit until one guy told me to check with tourist agency desk. That is where I finally found the pickup people. The tour is truly awesome. Trip date: October 2023 - Amy· April 3rd, 2023This trip is a fantastic way to see a lot of the country in a short amount of time. I loved the sights and the pace. Our guide, Mohamed, and our driver, Jamal, were both amazing. Mohamed provided lots of information and really went out of his way to make sure we were having a wonderful experience throughout the trip. There were optional excursions as well, like a visit to an oasis, a visit to the Star Wars village, and a camel ride in the desert. The three of us in our group chose to do all of the optional trips, and we enjoyed them a lot. I'd recommend going on any optional trips that are offered--the cost is reasonable, and it's a great way to see even more. Although most of the time was "tour time," we did have a bit of time on our own, too, so that was nice. I'd recommend this tour to anyone who is planning a visit to Tunisia.
