The guide was so knowledgeable and helpful and the families that I stayed with were incredible friendly. My only malcontent was the driving from Bukhara to the first village on the tour. I felt quite unsafe as the driver was extremely fast and seemed quite aggro on the road. My guide drove very safely to Samarkand at the end. The food on the trip was delicious and the beds were comfortable, toilet and shower facilities were great and the villages themselves were so beautiful! It was an experience of a lifetime! View in EnglishThe tour "4 Days Village to Village Hiking Tour (Bukhara -Samarkand, Uzbekistan) - Organizer: Responsible Travel" in September was well guided and the area beautiful for hiking. A donkey carries the big luggage. The mountains are very dry and dusty and the sun is blazing. The villages are on the river, there are trees for shade. Depending on your athleticism, the day trips might be a bit longer. Unfortunately, neither the guide nor the host families speak English, so little communication and explanations about the country and its people are possible. Without a guide you will get lost, because there are no signs or paths! The food is a bit one-sided, but okay. Even if the region and the hikes are beautiful, I find price-performance rather expensive.Show more
