- EMEdward· October 23rd, 2019It was a very thorough, comprehensive discovery of a beautiful country. Not knowing much about the country, we were surprised with the beauty of the mountains, gorges and countryside. It is a country rich in history and unique culture. Not visited by many, we found it fascinating. Dan has an extensive knowledge of the country and had contacts, insider techniques and access to the tourist spots. Given that our tour was just the two of us and Dan, we enjoyed his company throughout the week. He was knowledgeable, flexible and a nice person with whom to share our week.Show moreGuided Europe Tours SRL commented on this reviewHello Edward, Thank you very much for choosing us and for the feedback. - Nicola· April 29th, 2019We thoroughly enjoyed this busy tour. It allowed us to see the highlights of the country in a short time. the transport was modern and comfortable as was the accommodation! What value for money! Alex went out of his way to ensure we were happy and comfortable. He was most enthusiastic throughout the trip, which I imagine must be hard for a guide. Alex has a true passion for History and politics of his country with personal anecdotes to share. I am more of a geography and nature fan, so sometimes the history was heavy going but Alex's passion can only be commended. We spent a few days before the trip in Bucharest which was a bonus. Also I had an entire day after the end of the trip in Bucharest (which isn't the most exciting town from a tourism point of view especially on a rainy day) but I managed to spend the afternoon and evening at Therme- spa and water park. I was two-minded about it being a Saturday night- but I recommend it if stuck for things to do on a rainy day in Bucharest. They have storage for your luggage and all the facilities to go straight to the airport after (only 10 minutes away). A fun end to a great trip!Show moreGuided Europe Tours SRL commented on this reviewHello Nicola, Thank you very much for this review and we hope to see you soon maybe for a tour in the Balkans.
