  The trip was excellent! The guide went out of his way to accommodate all of us. even though some people were too demanding! Thanks Liviu for the history lessons, the memorable restaurants and the nice places you recommended us to visit.

  Liviu was an excellent guide. While we had issues with other travelers inn our tour group the places we visited were beautiful and very interesting. Now we travel on our own for many weeks.

  Our guide Matthias is an excellent guide. Full of knowledge and enthusiasm, making sure that we were all comfortable every single step of the tour. I could write a full page or more about this tour and especially about Matthia's dedicated attention to all of us. i would only mention 2 events. 2 passengers needed to go to hospital for matters unrelated to our tour. Matthias was with them in the Hospital for over 4 hours , out of tour timetable, giving his own time to make sure those travelers were OK. . I really appreciate his professionalism and personal dedication. 100% recommend this tour, even better if your guide is Matthia

  Absolute fabulous!!! Romania and Bulgaria was amazing to discover with the guidance of Matthias - the best tour guide ever. - He gave us so much interesting detail - full of knowledge and very knowledgeable!! -he was very compassionate and spend 2 nights till 22:00 at hospitals to take care of our medical needs - very safe driver Time spend at each location was perfect and we saw all the important and beautiful places in Romania and Bulgaria Hotels were perfect - centrally located and very nice and clean with good breakfast. This tour was really really good!!

  Firstly, we didn't receive communication from the agency until around ten hours before the tour. This isn't acceptable, as I flew to the departure city, not knowing whether the tour was going ahead or not. I know it was the end of the season and they're trying to save costs and work out logistics of multiple overlapping tours, but there was a distinct lack of continuity having two guides over the tour (and it would have been three, except for unforeseen circumstances preventing the third guide). The first part was great, getting an appreciation for the revolution that took place in Romania in 1989. The guide seemed to be much better at hospitality, which was top notch, than giving information on the tours. The first guide was told to pick us up, but not told that we had a different itinerary to those already travelling with him. He did a great job of juggling the two and accommodating us, but it shouldn't have come to that. The second guide really loved Romania, and that came through in what he was saying while driving. However, his knowledge seemed limited on the part of Romania we had him for, with us ending up gleaning more local information from other sources. The bear sanctuary was great, but the visit to Bran Castle the same day was rushed (could have taken twice as long), and then the touring for the day was finished at 2pm. This just didn't add up to what we paid for and what we expected. The next day, he tried to get us to select the option that would have him finished fastest, and when we didn't he showed clear impatience. We didn't give in and got the good day we paid for. His impatience led to him speeding, and he was opinionated throughout. At the end of the tour, they couldn't arrange a local guide to take us around Sofia, despite having at least six weeks notice. The best they could do for us was the next day, after our tour with them had scheduled to finish. It is fortunate that we had already chosen to stay an extra day at our own expense, rather than head straight for the airport. If it wasn't for that, they wouldn't have been able to provide what we paid for. Also, bear in mind that the second day in Sibiu is virtually a free day, so I recommend research in advance as to how to spend it - there were plenty of very good options, but it was too late for us by the time we found out it was a free day, something we weren't told in advance. All in all, a lot of brilliant places that we would never have seen otherwise and might never see again, but not exactly smooth going with the agency.

  This was a great tour. We knew this tour would be small but did not realize that it would only be the 2 of us and we always enjoy a few more people to travel with (fun to meet new people). With that said, our guide, Alex, was accommodating and personalized the trip which was a nice touch. If you want to see Romanian highlights, this a good tour.
