- AAlexandreGabriel· October 4th, 2022There are numerous safari companies operating in the Northern Tanzania and you realise the difference when you get there (quality of vehicles, size of tour group etc). I was very pleased we booked with Kilimanjaro Economy Safari We had Teacher as a fantastic guide for our 5 day safari via the Northern Circuit route. I believe the maximum group size is 7 but we were very lucky that it was just our family of 4 on the trip. That said, even with 7 people, the pop up roof safari vehicles are geared for 8 people so there is plenty of room to look in both directions. I fully recommend Kilimanjaro Economy SafariShow moreTrip date: August 2022
- LLukasRuegger· December 31st, 2020Worst Tour ever! I did many Tours worldwide but no one was that bad!!! It started when the manager wanted to do a briefing one day before and did not showed up. The Tour started at 02:40am and there where one driver and three(?!) Guides... But that did'nt help at all, they had no plan what they are doing or were we are going. They had to ask for the direction about 10times so we arrived in Kigoma after 20hours. Once arrived we searched the Lodge for another hour. Very poor preparations! On the next day instead of starting at 7am as planned we startet at 11:30am they said we have to wait for the managers ok. after that they choosed the worst boat i ever seen in my life and it was horrible overloaded!! After 4hours on this slow boat we arrived finally at Gombe NP. And guess what, no chimpamzee trekking, no waterfall nothing on this day. They told me its not possible and we have to relax because of the long journey. To make this day even worse the guides disappeard and there was no dinner on this day! Day 3 startet, once again 1hour to late. We finally started chimpanzee trekking but one guide needed 3pauses in 10minutes and then he didn't want to go any further. So we went without him. Finally i could see the chimpanzees at noon we went back for lunch. After that i asked to go to the forest again and waited 1hour for an answer and they said its not possible to see the chimps again and also not possible to go hiking up Jane's Peak but he can show me the waterfall if i want. (which should have been in the program anyway) So there are not two days of Chimpanzee trekking its more like 2.5hours. So nothing went as planned. In the evening i asked what time do we leave and what type of boat are we using. Guess what... i waited another hour for an answer. After that i asked why we dont use the small, faster boat like all other tourists... so they let me choose to go to the public boat again or paying extra 250$ also the accommodation was very very bad, in kigoma and in the nationalpark. The one in kigoma was very dirty and had no hot shower the other was also dirty, full of insects, smelled like pee and the shower was not working. to the behavior of the guides... after 4days they could still not remember my name, i think they didnt care at all. they talked always swahili and dont care about me unless one of them wanted to use my powerbank or they wandet some photos (for advertising purposes i guess). After all one asked for my phone to take photos because of the better quality. This tour is not even worth 500$ so its a total rip off!!! There was so many more bad things about this tour but i think its clear enough to never ever book with this company or Kwesa Tours because its the same operator. I wish i could get my money back!!!Show moreKilimanjaro Economy Safari commented on this reviewDear my Friend ,Kilimanjaro to Kigoma is a long way almost 1200kms one way. To do long ride is normal. The hotel in Kigoma we just booked we expected the good service from the hotel owner. If they did not provide right service we promise to never use... Show moreTrip date: December 2020
- JJidenna· April 4th, 2019My experience with Kilimanjaro Economy Safari was great. From the start communication was so easy and lightning fast. Ben answered all my questions about the Safari very quickly. The Kili cottages hotel base was very nice. My driver was waiting to pick me up from airport. The equipment I rented was top notch. The guides were experts and very friendly. Food and water was plentiful . Medical checks twice a day. Transport to and from Gombe National Park was good. Price was nice and Cheapest. Would highly recommend this companyShow moreKilimanjaro Economy Safari commented on this reviewThank you for great feedback about our service. We are hoping you can spread it all over the World. - KILIECONOMY· March 27th, 2019We had such an amazing time exploring Zanzibar on safari in January 2019. This was hands down the best trip either of us have been on! From start to finish, everything was so well planned and executed, that we never felt any of that normal vacation stress. Even when there was a minor issue with the weather and an outdoor activity, our itinerary was re-arranged so that we could still fit everything in. All of our accommodations were absolutely incredible. We could not have picked them better ourselves! We especially loved how small each one was and how the staff/managers seemed genuinely interested in making our stay as memorable as possible. In planning the trip, Kilimanjaro Economy Safari was incredibly responsive and worked with us to tweak our itinerary to fit in everything we wanted and some awesome suggestions we had not thought of (like the truly amazing experience with maasai tribe after Ngorongoro crater after finished our tour in Zanzibar). We had a fantastic experience working with this travel company and will not hesitate to use them again for our next trip to Africa, which will hopefully be very soon! Thanks so much Mr. Ben for giving us Happyful fulltime Thank a lot Edward (teacher) for making us feel like home and angaged to be a member of Kilimanjaro Economy Safari Also we thanks all guides and cookers on Kili Cottages for the sweet food you made to us We appriciate you for every thingShow moreTrip date: January 2019
