- Stephen· November 13th, 2024We enjoyed a wonderful three nights and four days on The Queen Isis from Aswan to Luxor, in the company of our wonderful guide, Talaat. The boat is lovely and good value. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Staff attentive and food good and plentiful. Talaat arranged a fantastic, packed agenda and is an inspirational and compelling storyteller, bringing all the sites to life - the kings and their relationships with the gods, the purpose of each temple, the stories of the decorations, explanation of the hieroglyphics. His knowledge and passion knows no bounds. Day 1 is The Philae Temple, The unfinished Obelisk and a motor boat upstream for a swim in the Nile and an evening at a Nubian village. Day 2. Abu Simbel, which has to be seen to be believed and the high dam.and back to the boat to sail to Kom Ombo for an evening visit. Beautifully lit and explained Day 3. Edfu..again incredible. And the temple of luxor in the evening for the light and sound show. Day 4.. Hot air balloon and Karnak. It's an incredible trip, excellent value.
