  I travelled with my family. This is a comprehensive tour of Egypt that touches important sites. The Guides (Nasir and Hassan) were knowledgeable, helpful and accommodating. Special mention is driver in Cairo - Muzammil who was helpful. The management is organized, flexible, polite and is available for any support required. It was my first time in Egypt and it was hassle free because of the organization. Good value.

  The tour was very comfortable and very fun . We enjoyed every bit of it. Although it was adventurous it was also very relaxing and informative!!! I would recommend this tour company to everyone.

  Great itinerary, excellent tour Guides (Nesor and Omar), very safe drivers at all times; the tour delivered and more on what was promised. Guides listened to the travelers and responded at all times. Excellent accommodation and good food options for all. I( would be happy to recommend and use this company again.

  You will be left speechless after this tour by Egypt Direct Tours! Bassam was my guide and he made the whole experience even more memorable. Basssm was so insightful with his extensive knowledge of the Pyramids, tombs, and hieroglyphics,also was photographer in Giza and got us to Memphis, Saqarra and the VIP access to recently opened tombs. Bassam even bought water for the workers around the Pyramid complex and food for the strays in Saqqara. Doing a private tour made the experience so much better because you move at your own pace. I even had time to stop and get coffee and some snacks. I highly recommend this company for anyone wishing to come to Egypt.

  This tour I can very much recommend to others without any shame or any apprehension. We were very well rested, well taken care of and very much looked after. Our hotels and van service, drivers and tour guides are very very accommodating, very service driven and even the cruise staff are very happy to please, going above and beyond to make this a memorable experience for us. I love Egypt more because of this tour.

  The operator, guides and drivers were all very nice and accomodating. They all took good care of me and my fellow travellers. I felt safe and protected. The tour was laidback and flexible. Really enjoyed and would highly recommend it!!!

  I want to thank Egypt Direct/Tour Radar for the experience of a lifetime! The guide Nasser introduced me to the Egyptian people and their vibrant culture. Nasser's insite to the creation of the sites we explored put in perspective Egyptian people's connection to the country. Nasser and driver Youssef elevated any safety concerns I had about touring on my own. Nasser's knowledge about the archaeological sites we visited gave perspective to why people should explore Egypt. If you want to travel on your own, do so but ask if while on tour will you meet up with other travelers.

  We arrived and were picked up by driver and representative who took us to Swiss Inn Pyramids Golf resort. This is approximately 45 min from the airport. We did not receive accommodation information until day of arrival. These accommodations were okay. Breakfast included. The reason for 3 star review is that there were a lot of hidden fees that were not clear in the beginning. Train tickets for sleeper train were given a week before travel. Expect to pay $95 per person for a double room and $135 for a single. (Online they are listed for $90 and $130) website is not user friendly so agency needed to book for us. We paid $630 for round trip sleeper train for 3 people. They refuse Egyptian money so this you must pay cash with American dollars upon arrival. The company takes added cost for their “profits”. The sleeper train was horrendous, completely filthy and food inedible. We were not given any information about name of sleeper train or anything until arrival and already tickets were booked. We did not anticipate for accommodations to be so poor. We opted to fly back from Aswan instead of taking the sleeper train back to Cairo. We were able to get 80% refund of fees minus the travel agency fees. We booked our own flights which was $40 dollars cheaper per person than if we allowed agency to book. We were picked up from train station by Mohamed who was spectacular. Additionally, all of the entrance fees to all the temples average around $155-$200 per person throughout the stay. Since we were flying back to Cairo a day earlier than expected, we needed an additional night stay. The travel agency quoted us $195. However, hotel charged us $162. We told Ahmed the owner of this company and his reponer was “supposed to add a little profit for our agency”. The Nile cruise accommodation was subpar. It would have been nice to have has a choice in a different cruise ship. There was no entertainment. Very boring cruise. This trip could have been done in less days. We had a lot of down time so we added additional excursions so we weren’t sitting around. Now although the company practices are questionable, The tour guides and drivers were spectacular. Mohamed was exceptional and very knowledgeable. He went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Made sure to grab all of our photos. He was funny and patient with us. Negotiated with vendors for souvenirs. I give Mohamed 5 gold stars! Hassan our driver in Cairo was also amazing and very kind. Nasser our tour guide in Cairo also very knowledgeable and flexible with us. We added on the Alexandria day trip to the last day of our trip and both Nasser and Hassan traveled with us and they were very kind. The purchased for us ice cream that was complimentary. Be aware that included meals are a set menu. We were able to choose meal in Alexandria but otherwise you do not have option for what is served. Drinks are not included. Overall we did feel safe with our guides. We are appreciative of company for tour. Hope feedback is taken as constructive.

  The best way to maximise time in Egypt. We saw all the main sites along the Nile as well as Cairo. Guides were excellent and informative as well as flexible and attentive to our needs. We learned so much and days were well paced.

  Amazing Tour. they were very flexible when we wanted to change what we were doing on the last day. the tour guides, Nasser and Muhammed were excellent. their knowledge was very comprehensive and more importantly, they always put our needs first so they were very empathetic. Nasser was very concerned to make sure that my Mum was happy and looked after. and Muhammed was happy to just chill out with us and share some amazing stories. they are a credit to the tour company.
