**USE FOR CHOBE GAME DRIVE AT YOUR OWN RISK** I booked a full-day game drive for 8/25/19, and the morning cruise on the Zambezi was lovely. The first part of the game drive was awe-inspiring, but it then turned dangerous and scary. Our jeep got stuck and, after the delay, the driver drove recklessly fast on very bumpy trails to get us back to the starting point. Thanks to a selfish passenger, who chose to sit in the front row with the driver rather than with his wife and two young sons, I was alone in the back row of a jeep with seats that were not fully attached, no seatbelts, and less space between the seats and roof (canvas cover over metal frame). The driver took absolutely NO care to avoid deep ruts and holes, and I had to hold on for dear life. There were times when I bounced at least a foot off of my shifting seat and came close to hitting the metal rods on the roof, only to crash down hard on a shifting seat pad and the metal rods of the seat frame. My ankles were cut on metal as I bounced around, and the backs of my thighs were badly bruised. On the worst bump, my camera went flying and fortunately fell straight down to the jeep floor (a foot behind was open air to the ground). Not being able to reach it while holding on, I waited for a clearing and asked to stop. The driver had the nerve to scold me to hold on to my belongings more carefully! This was my first game drive in Africa and I came to learn that jeeps usually have seatbelts and stationary seats, as well as drivers who actually take care not to harm their passengers. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!

This tour was poorly organized with guides and drivers constantly scrambling. Each step of the itinerary was met with long delays while the group waited in parking lots (often 30-45 mins) for the next driver to arrive. Camp staff were not informed of dietary restrictions, making meal times a challenge. The name of this tour is misleading, as there are no activities on day 3 (we left the campsite at 6 am and drove straight to the border). Overall, this tour did not meet the standards of other camping safaris and did not provide good value. I would not recommend United Safaris or their partner Steenbok Tours.
