The ship was old, and not always that clean, the food was boring, and the sun deck was often covered in diesel smoke from all the ships docked together. However, a comfortable way to see a lot of temples from Luxor to Aswan. The communication to Itaca Holiday was poor and they were not very helpful. Often we had to write them the night before to get to know the program for the next day. The worst was, however, our second guide. First of all, she was 30 min late for a 2-hour excursion. Secondly, she tried to scam us into paying for some transport that was included, probably so she could just pocket the money herself. However, travelling in Egypt during the tourist low season meant that the harassment from street vendors of all kinds (including staff from the boat) was really bad and as two young women we rarely felt comfortable leaving the boat alone. Additionally, the intensity of personal attention on the boat was frankly overwhelming, the food was aggressively unappetising, and the multiple layer of subcontractors made communication challenging at times.
