Our guide and driver made us feel very comfortable and at ease - where we could ask anything. The pyramids were amazing and our guide very informative. Our driver was very helpful and made sure we safely got on the correct train (sleeper train to Aswan). We meet our guide Michael in Aswan, and he was so eager to share information with us. He was very helpful when our plans changed and was able to accommodate us accordingly. he is very knowledgeable about Egyptian history and truly has a Pasion for his job. He shared a lot of his wisdom about Egypt with us and really gave us the whole Aswan experience. our guide in Luxor Hany was great! He went above and beyond making us feel comfortable and showing honest interest. He made Luxor a place I'd visit again. I think I speak for the group I was with by saying we learned so much today and his knowledge does not go unappreciated. Very pleased with our experience and would definitely recommend. - ABAlexie· March 4th, 2023We loved everything we saw but the tour operator is not up front enough with the level of detail and financial expectations of each day of this tour. A generic listing on the tour radar page of "doesn't include entry fees" doesn't really detail the at least a dozen places we were just expected to have cash to enter pretty much anything and everything we wanted to do, someone and every place had their hand out for money, with no idea of how much each entry fee was is not a professional way to just dump that on customers. The best comment we continually heard was "you can go to an atm and withdraw it" really? i don't have a money tree connected to that atm. We didn't get details before we left home regarding pick up times, such as being told we were going to be picked up at 4am one day and that was only mentioned as an aside the evening before. Then we were left waiting for 45 minutes outside at 4am as the hotel wouldn't let us wait in the lobby and the minibus was running late. Also we were not advised that apart from one part of one day we were always on private tours where again there was an expectation to tip well for each and every guide and driver. It took the shine off a great holiday this continually feeling obligated regarding handing over money that i just didn't have. Overall the organisation of this tour i would call "loose" at best. And the hovel we stayed in Aswan was atrocious - basic i can do, but it was filthy and unsafe - doors wouldn't open, wouldn't close, locks that didn't work and electrics hanging off the wall and faulting a putrid bathroom with no shower curtain or door so the bathroom became a swimming pool the we had a shower. Also our booking for 2 rooms on the train was not undertaken again because it wasn't read thoroughly. I also mentioned numerous times that I would like a vegetarian meal for the train but that was also not implemented & even the return trip i mentioned again but nope - so hey it doesn't matter if the tourist goes hungry. The actual guides we had in each location i couldn't fault, they were great, especially in Luxor, Sayed and our driver were outstanding. This operator needs to give more information including times, approximate amount of entry fees listed with their costs and clarity regarding if the tour is private or not so a customer can budget and be organised. - Melisa· October 22nd, 2022When we arrived at Cairo International Airport, our driver picked us up. He was already at the airport, waiting when our flight had landed. He drove us to our hotel in Giza (Pyramids Planet Hotel which was really nice, clean and had amazing views of the pyramids!), where we met our tour host Peter. Peter and his team were super friendly, Peter had organized everything for us and told us what our plans were for the next days and even planned an additional tour for our extra day at the end. The day tours and travel between each destination was really smooth and planned really well. Our drivers were always on time, really accommodating and again super friendly. They always picked us up on time and ensured that we were well taken care of. The overnight sleepers trains were a little difficult, the trains were quite loud and a few times it had lost power and the trains suddenly jolted to stop so we couldn't get too much sleep. My partner and I did not upgrade to have a sleeper cabins so we had to sit up to sleep and the chairs weren't that comfy, if I was to do this again I might consider upgrading for a bit more privacy and comfortable sleep, but that was on us for choosing not to upgrade and does not deter from the experience at all :) Overall, this tour was amazing, it was well thought out and structured, all our drivers and tour guides were so nice and friendly and was really eager to share Egyptian history. Although it was only 6 days, it was action packed and planned so well!
