- JBJenny· February 14th, 2024We were delighted with all the trips we did, the arrangements were always spot on, and our guide was so knowledgeable and made everything come to life for us. The boat accommodation and customer service was of a high standard too. We were a little disappointed with the food as it was largely the same buffet every day and not as flavoursome as we had expected, but plenty of choice. We loved the cruising down the nile and would have preferred more of that than sitting docked - usually between other boats so no view - with unpleasant fumes. We were keen to see the lock too, but it was timed that we went through it at 4 am!Show more

He even helps us haggle and advises on if the prices are good. We didn't have to go to any shop or anything like that, which is nice. Ancient tour company is very responsive throughout the entire process, from before booking to after booking. The tour is nice to explore several attractions from Luxor to Aswan. We didn't really enjoy the cruise itself though, the room was tiny, the food was mediocre at best, and we were just bored. Maybe this is just the nature of cruises. Hopefully there could be some kind of activities on the cruise, like games or something. The optional tours (hot air balloon, nubian village, abu simbel) were great as well. He was knowledgeable about the ancient sites that were visited and he was very patient and professional. At the same time we were treated like family by Waleed and he suggested additional tours which were highlights. I think he knows everyone in Luxor (and maybe all of Egypt). Abu Simbal and the Nubien Viilage tour should not be missed but there are so many amazing things to do on the tour.
