  This was truly the trip of a lifetime. The tour was made all the better by our amazing guide Ash (Anirudh) who clearly was so passionate about his beautiful country and culture. Ash went above and beyond in all aspects from detailing the entire menu, sharing stories about his life and family and always joining the group for an intense game of cards! Following his mantra we went with the flow and we were never disappointed! From the Taj Mahal to riding camels and glamping in the desert, this trip truly has it all and is one not to be missed.

  This trip was like a roller coaster. It had high highs and low lows and bits inbetween. For example one of the highs was Jaipur when the accomodation was awesome the itinerary was packed with time for free time as well as many planned experiences. However then we went to Pushkar the roller coaster plumeted down, mainly due to the so-called “resort”accommodation which was actually a dusty musty room with no heating whatsoever in the middle of nowhere. Overall, I very much enjoyed this trip. There were a lot of really interesting and unique experiences and sites that we saw. I particularly enjoyed Jaipur and Udapuir. My tour group was quite small, we started with 7 people plus our guide but two girls left us after Jaipur (as they were doing the snapshot). I got on well with all the people in my group (particularly my roomie).

  I have experienced group travel before and opted for One Life Adventures because of the itinerary that it offers for India. The description of the tour made it seem like a good exploration and experience of North India. Having completed the tour, I can say that it is good value for money as many things are included in the price compared to other group travel. However, the infancy of the company’s organisation is apparent. I was ill prepared for the trip due to the lack of information about what to expect on the trip eg weather, temperature, range of activities. The trip involved overnight train and use of “public bus” (which turned out to be a coach) with no guarantee that the group will remain together. As a female solo traveler in India, these were concerns which could be remedied if better managed and significantly improved communications. I felt that some of the included activities resembled sales pitches which I did not appreciate. These issues did not detract from having a relatively good time in India. I particularly liked Jaipur and Udaipur. I appreciated that our group did not experience any gastro issues which India is famed for and travelled safely to the end of our trip. We saw a lot in India but also a lot of down time which could have been condensed or dropped from itinerary. I’m grateful to the experience and special thanks to members of my group who have made my trip enjoyable.

  I enjoyed the tour a lot. It was a full on first few days but then you have more down time during the end of the tour. A great mix of your own time to explore and being guided as a group. The accommodations were of a good standard. Be aware that you may not be seated/placed as a group on public transport.

  It is an overall decent tour, however was slightly mishandled and manic at times, for example, not getting our sleeper train tickets until the night before. The itinerary was not true to its word at some points either, for example, our sunset cruise was labelled as private when it was not. However, the trip was still fun.

  Great tour of India. Covers everything for a first timer. Loved Bikaner and Udaipur, so definitely worth the extra few days! Accommodation and the range of transport options were great too! Well organised.

  This tour had a superb itinerary and I would highly recommend it as a great way to see Northern India. Some of the most memorable highlights for me were the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, the sunset cruise and bike tours in Udaipor, and the desert safari in Bikaner. The hotels all exceeded my expectations, especially the 2 glamping nights which were a real highlight. The trains can be basic at times but it’s all part of the experience. The food was also out of this world! Such rich and authentic flavours that I’m really going to miss when I go home. Our tour leader Nikhil was a top bloke and did an insanely good job organising everything and made the trip fun with his knowledge and cheeky sense of humour. We honestly couldn’t have asked for a more knowledgeable, passionate, caring and diligent guide for our tour. He’d move mountains for us if we asked! India can definitely be an intense place to travel at times but Nikhil would check in on all of us individually to make sure we were ok and enjoying ourselves and always making sure we were all comfortable. He was the perfect tour guide for India! Thank you Nikhil and thank you India. I hope to travel with One Life again in the future because of this experience!
