View in EnglishI didn't receive the departure information (where to meet the group at the airport, bording pass) until 13 hours before departure, and then only because I had taken steps via WhatsApp. I was then told that I had been added even though I had been registered and paid for months. A guide who makes very minimal efforts and obviously doesn't feel like being with us. I was offered to inform our hotel (Novotel) of our arrival at the airport to send the free shuttle but this was not done. We waited 35 minutes for the shuttle before taking a paying cab. - Kristin· December 12th, 2024The guide Mohammad was very experienced with each site and had a complete understanding of the temples and hieroglyphics. However, I sometimes had trouble understanding along what he was talking about due to his English. It would have been nice to be sent a clearer itinerary of each day prior to the tour, and what was included. The extra fees are somewhat of a mystery and a detailed breakdown of 'entry fees' and 'tipping' would be nice. That and of course the optional extra tours, to anticipate how much extra, and which days they would be on. Perhaps the tour radar itinerary just needs a little bit of tweaking and some extra bits of information added in there to manage expectations. The final thing I noticed were the many different whatsapp conversations I received during my time on the tour, it ended up being 5. In the future it would help everyone involved to just have 1. whatsapp group with the tourguide/ other guests 2. whatsapp group for operations and planning, and every transfer/ payment/ any business questions go in there. It felt confusing and a little uncomfortable having so many people contact my personal number from a safety point of view. Otherwise it was a good tour, I hope this feedback doesn't deter you too much, just wanted to share my honest opinion so you can continue to make the tour great. - Daniel· November 9th, 2024The trip on the Nile cruise was great. The staff was very polite and very supportive. A huge variety was provided for the food for lunch and for dinner. Even breakfast boxes were prepared if the trips for the day started earlier. Also the organization to the cruise and to the hotels after was taken care of perfectly. In general, the individual planning for each person was on point. When the staff found out that it was our honeymoon, they went beyond and decorated our room. We even got a cake. The pool was very cold but we enjoyed it a lot. It was never too busy on the rooftop. We had great people in our group and loved to spend time with them during the trip. Our guide Ahmed Kassem was doing his best to keep us informed, happy and safe. We appreciated his effort a lot. For the Edfu temple visit, all the boats went at the same time so it was very crowded. Maybe the operator could try to plan this a bit differently. The wifi needs to be improved (and free of charge) and the shower was leaking at one point which led to a wet bathroom floor. Also the variety of the drinks could be a bit more. But this is critic on a high level.
