- Syrine· December 13th, 2024I recently completed an unforgettable expedition to Mera Peak with Himmalayan Trekking Path and I am happy to share my experience. Overall, the trip was well organized with great service before and during the trek, making it clear this company prioritize their client's comfort and satisfaction. Before the expedition, communication was seamless and the company provided preparation guidance and ensured we had all the necessary equipment, whatever was missing they either provided or provided guidance to where to get it. Though there was a small hiccup at pick up the team quickly apologized and made up for it with a local hike and a warm invite to Ram’s home for a homemade lassi and dhal bhat, a thoughtful gesture that set a welcoming tone. On the trail, Dendi was incredibly knowledgeable and supportive (he already climbed 3 times Mera Peak this season), and added to the journey by naming mountain peaks, pointing out wildlife and sharing insights about the local flora even picking up wild fruits along the way. On the summit push; 2 guides supported us 2-people group, ensuring individual attention. We were glad the guides were carrying back-up oxygen in case of need. Dandi even provided hot water to help stay warm and provided me with his own gel when I started feeling weak and continuous mental support to push for the summit. In regards with accommodation and food; the lodges we stayed at were often among the best in the area, and we could order whatever we wanted from the menu which we heard wasn't the case with every other company. Big up to the chicken burger in Kote. We were also provided with hot drinks at each proper break. After returning to Kathmandu we were treated to a celebratory dinner at a French restaurant which was a nice touch as we are French. Overall, Ram and Dendi showed incredible attention to our needs and asks and always did their best to accommodate us so that our trip could be a great and memorable experience. Many pictures of the trip were captured by Dandi which was the cherry on the cake.Show more
- Anna· November 28th, 2024I’m happy I decided to do this trip with Ramhari and his company. From landing in Kathmandu to leaving the country we were taken care of in the best possible way. Chandra, our guide was doing his best to provide us with a smooth experience during the trek and trust me, it was not an easy thing to do as the trek can get tough sometimes. We were able to adjust the pace, amount of breaks and time of breakfasts so that we could match it with how we feel that day. Ramhari stayed in touch with us the whole time and was making sure things go well. The amount of care, commitment and flexibility provided from this agency exceeded my expectations. Next time I’m in Nepal I will definitely contact again. Thank you Ramhari, Chandra and Mama for a great time during this trip! ❤️Show more
- Ronald· November 19th, 2024There are those trips that resonate and you are glad you did them, and this round trip through Nepal is definitely one of them. I can highly recommend it! Entering Nepal is very straightforward and quick, but you should find out how to do it beforehand and have already completed the visa on arrival application online. Ram, who accompanied us for most of the trip and was always available for us at any time, was already waiting for us at the airport. We were driven to the hotel where we spent two nights. The hotel was fine if you don't have too high expectations. Exploring Kathmandu is super interesting. This applies to the "temple tour" on the second day as well as to the independent exploration of Thamel - the lively tourist district and even more so to the sunrise behind the Nagarkot viewpoint - breathtakingly beautiful! Our guide explained so much: from the Hindu and Buddhist temples and their history, to the Himalayas, the mountains and their significance, to political and social issues of the present day: we learned a lot. The journey to Chitwan was then - like all other car journeys - an adventure in itself: the worst roads, a lot of traffic, 3 hours for 100 km and road users who drive VERY differently than in Europe. So I would strongly advise against driving yourself, we were very happy to have a good and level-headed driver, this also gave us the opportunity to see a lot during the trip and also to ask our guide a lot of background information. The jungle in Chitwan, the jungle walks and trips, the canoe trip were the next experience. Elephants, crocodiles, marabou and many other animals up close and the intense green of the jungle - fantastic. We found the hotel there very good. Another highlight was Lumbini - the birthplace of Buddha. You could feel and experience the spirituality of the place. We also found the hotels here and in the next stop Pokhara to be good. On the way to Pokhara, the "castle" Rani Mahal and the associated river valley was another highlight, as was the second sunrise tour in Pokhara - the tourist capital of Nepal. In summary, I can say that I have never experienced such authentic, approachable and never intrusive friendliness and helpfulness as in Nepal. This was the case with our guide and the driver, but also in the restaurants and on the street. But not only that, the tour is super interesting, educational, diverse, offers so many cultural highlights and unique nature. I am grateful for my personal highlight - the sunrise behind the Himalayas! After so much praise, one more caveat: the tour also has its strenuous parts, with lots of walking and steps to climb. You should therefore be a good walker and have a certain level of fitness.Show more
