  Parts of the trip were really nice but overall did not meet my expectations. The starting point changed to the ending port the day of the departure but we were advised that our itinerary would remain the same but in a different order. We did not follow itinerary at all, from our GPS we maybe went within a 15km radius of Gocek. We definitely felt as the only non-Turks on the boat we were a third wheel with the captain only communicating with us at a minimum- like saying a meal was ready or swim now. We were often clueless to how long we spent in each spot or when things were happening. There was two occasions when we realised everyone had left the boat on the dingy and we didn’t know where they had gone or would be back. On a positive note we had lovely fellow passengers and one could speak some English so would at times let us know what was happening. The turquoise coast is very pretty, a couple of times we were swimming with rubbish and food scraps but mainly clean and there are lots of spots to stop at only 10-15mins apart. If (like me) you had expectations of sailing - the sails were never unfurled, exploring small costal towns, I don’t think a grocery boat parked on a sand bar counts then this is not the trip for you.

  The trip offered a beautiful escape to the breathtaking coves around the bay of Fethiye with plenty of opportunities tor swimming. The crew and especially the skipper were super nice and worked hard to make the boat ride safe and enjoyable. The food prepared by the captain’s wife was delicious. The major drawback for me, as a solo traveler, was being placed on a trip as the only solo traveler with one large tour-group of friends traveling together. It mostly felt like being a guest on their private tour and the captain only communicated with them, including scheduling changes. On the last evening a sunset ride was cancelled without warning because as the captain told me “the others don’t want to go anymore.” Overall I felt like a third-party getting a free ride rather than a full-paying customer. (As expected as a woman of color traveling with a group of wealthy white Americans.) There was also little peace and quiet as the group had pretty much nonstop conversations, including in the evenings after I went to bed and tons of convos about planning their upcoming trip to Israel, which was offensive and triggering for me considering I live in Lebanon and have family and friends in Palestine and endured Israei bombings and occupation in Southern Lebanon. (Common sense while traveling in a Muslim country would be to avoid bragging about visiting a country that oppresses a majority Muslim population.) Though that last part is not the company’s fault, it made the trip kind of depressing at times. My recommendation: don’t place solo travelers as the only extra person with a large group of friends and ask people to respect quiet time.

  The boat tour was an amazing experience. The Captain, his wife, son and daughter in law were one of the most polite, helpful, open to communicate people. We missed our flight and as a result missed the boat at the port, and the Captain was so helpful in arranging our pick up by a taxi , communicated with us through out the time while we were in a taxi to get to the port. The cabin was very clean, spacious with private bathroom. The food, of the food was so amazing, fresh, full of flavour and authentic Turkish taste. They would inform us about the area we would be travelling, what will come next and where would be stay and dock for the night. The whole family was amazing, so respectful and happy. I would definitely recommend staying with them and enjoying the experience.
