- JJD· October 3rd, 2024Visiting the National Parks of Colorado on a Southwest Adventure Tour was super. We take a Southwest Adventure Tour every year, and they are all wonderful. This time I even white-water rafted ... and enjoyed it! For this tour, every place our outstanding guide, Sarah, took us to, maybe it had been raining or foggy; we arrived and it was miraculously fine. We were really fortunate: with the lovely weather; with a knowledgeable, careful, caring and fun guide – who, incidentally, picked superlative restaurants and sandwich shops for our meals and picnics (e.g., the wonderful Blue Water Bakery in Grand Lake, CO); and with a friendly tour group. On our last tour day a foot of snow was forecast in the Rocky Mountain Nat'l Park, but it turned out that the precipitation didn’t start up until after dark so we even got to climb to Adams Falls (in the clear, warm morning sun) and to see Longs Peak (from a blustery, clouded overlook near that 14,259-ft Peak around 2:30 p.m.) before heading on to Denver and our flights home the following day.Show moreTrip date: September 2024
- TMTheresa· September 23rd, 2024An excellent experience. South Western Adventure Tours were extremely professional and the entire trip was seamless. Our tour operator, Sarah, was also great. She did everything possible to ensure that we got the most from the experience.Trip date: September 2024
- LKLisa· September 27th, 2023Highly disorganized, guide was not informed about itinerary timing to get into parks, where food would be available for purchase and on and on. We missed seeing things because of SWAT’s inability to set up this tour properly or properly train our guide, they also did not take into account the shorter days in September. Missed seeing things because it was dark. It’s an amazing tour to see all these places, just VERY poorly organized and set up, we have been on many tours with many tour companies, this by far was the worst!Show moreTrip date: September 2023
- JCJohn· August 21st, 2023Great trip, great seeing 4 national parks and 2 national monuments, good guide (Dave Showalter), nice hotels, good meals (except hotel free breakfasts).Trip date: August 2023
- KKatieCampbell· October 2nd, 2022Wonderful trip, our guide Vickie went above and beyond. The hotel in Durango was the only low point. It was Too far and too dangerous to walk to town and restaurants when we had an evening on our own.Trip date: September 2022
