  Started well ended bad Our driver Rob a young but grossly overweight man kept the temperature in the bus cold all the time as he was sweating, while he only wore short sleeve shirt all passenger had 3 layers and coat on On the 8th day 12 out of the 18 were coughing and sneezing I took all precautions as I got weak immune system from cancer but fall ill as well so missed out on events plus on a world trip and now have to continue being sick it's simply unacceptable behaviour from a driver. We asked to put the temperature up but it never happened. This simply ruined my while experience

  Everything was very well done. We learned lots about all the country we travelled through and marvelled at Ashley’s driving skills. Cudos to Caroline for her very good info on everything we saw!!

  A rail tour of Switzerland from London. All my fellow travelers were Brits. The tour was well organized and led by Derek, who had reservations for our group of 40, often we had a car for ourselves. It was my first time on the Eurostar under the English Channel. We spent 5 of our 7 nights in the same hotel. All our meals were great, the lunch was usually a box lunch I usually ate at a restaurant if I was hungry. My favorite trip was going over the Alps to Italy on the Bernia Express. The trains all stopped near our hotel. We had only one bus ride. That was in Paris on our return trip to London.

  Fab 10 day tour. Tour guide was organized, knowledgeable, and fun. Driver was very pleasant and a safe and cautious driver. Scenery amazing. Definitely took some back roads. Small group was so much fun!

  Tour guide, driver, and the coach--all excellent. Guide was knowledgeable, professional, and provided all an enjoyable tour. Driver was super--very safe, personable, courteous as well as knowledgeable about the toured areas. The coach was clean, comfortable, and sanitized.

  This was one of the best tours I've been on. I am a solo traveller and it is easy to feel left out with groups of couples but Emilie made sure I was part of the group when I wanted to be sociable, but was also happy for me to go off alone when I needed 'me time'. The small group was great (only 10) as was the mini-bus that allowed us to go into areas where a big bus could never go. Emilie was also flexible so there were unplanned stops for photos, and new places to see that weren't on the itinerary. All in all, this was a fabulous tour and I will be booking another Backroads tour again in the future.

  Guide was informative and had done a lot of research - driver was safe - sometimes we had too much time for us to explore.

  Loved every minute of tour, Phil our original tour guide who had to go home and then young Johnny (his first tour of that kind) was wonderful and Sergio our driver. loved the back roads. couldnt have travelled with a better group of people, wonderful company.
