The tour was even better than we expected it to be, the main highlights were everywhere and everything we we saw. Mr. Manjula was a confident driver who guided our vehicle everywhere safely, he also made sure our rooms were what we liked. He stopped for us to take photographs and there wasn't a question we asked he didn't know the the answer too, we felt safe and secure with him. It was a pleasurable, leisurely pace with 2+ nights in many places. The accommodation provided was good and had a/c, good locations and breakfast as advertised. We chose this tour as it is one of the few that goes north to Jaffna. Our Driver/ guide (Mr Rewan) really went out of his way to accommodate our requests e.g stopping for photos or buying fruit from local markets.He has been very helpful and always looking out for our best interests.Show more

Our experienced, friendly, reliable, English-speaking driver Janaka kept us safe and informed daily of choices available on our itinerary as well as finding a wide array of wildlife for us. We never felt rushed despite venturing to the most northern, eastern, southern, central and highest areas of this scenic country in our private air-conditioned vehicle, and by train, boat, 4-wheel drive and tuk tuk. Accommodation was clean and comfortable (great pillows!) with cooked breakfasts offering delicious Sri Lankan options. People warmly welcomed us and the weather was brilliant. Amid such a variety of things to see and do, we found Jaffna region really interesting and especially enjoyed our time at Martin's Lodge at World Heritage Sinharaja Forest Reserve, the amazing Dambulla Cave Temple, Polonnaruwa ancient city and the stunning Kandy Botanic Gardens. We extended for 3 days to explore the sights and markets of modern Colombo. I recommend a local sim package for spots where WiFi is slower or limited. Thanks for amazing experiences, Showlanka. Our personal driver, Janaka, arranged everything and throughout the trip took us to sights that we would never have found on our own. Once, we arrived at a hotel that was not to our liking and Janaka immediately arranged for a higher level hotel at no extra cost to us.Sri Lanka is a beautiful and diverse country and should be on everyones bucket list.
