The hotel locations were very good, and our tour leader was incredibly welcoming, kind, and educated. We got the impression that the city tours took us INSiDE places!! We were scrabbling around to try to book our own tours. Bus was poor and no toilet on board. - Elena· April 28th, 2024We just got back from the Northern Italy tour and had such a wonderful time! The 10 days flew by, with each city bringing its own unique charm. Our guide was full of interesting stories and really knew his stuff, which made all the difference. The hotels were cozy, and the travel pace was just right not too rushed. We got a lot of free time on every destination, which was perfect for us. It was also great how everything was very organized and smooth. - MCMark· April 28th, 2024Tour overall was pretty good. Guide (Miguel) and Driver (Vito) were good. Hotels were pretty good, although the Florence and Rome hotels were a bit isolated. I would have rated the tour Good expect for the private transfer in Rome at the end of the tour. Eskapas had scheduled our transfer at 10:30 AM for a 12:30 train. The day before our departure, Miguel told us the transfer comp[ny needed to pick us up at 8:30 AM for our 12:30 train, so we would have had to wait in the train station for 3.5 hours. Their policy was that transfers needed to be made 4 hours prior to the plane or train time. The train station was 3.9 miles from the hotel. We asked Miguel to call them and change it to the original time that Eskapas had scheduled, and he called and said they would not change it. I also called the Eskapas emergency number in Venice and talked with Lorena. She did not help. Italy is a fantastic place to travel because there are so many historically significant locations and attractions to see. We felt the tour was excellent value for money - the hotels were very good and well located, and we were surprised and impressed by the services of our tour leader Maria. She was really amazing, funny and cultivated. Perfectly organized, amazingly knowledgeable tour guide.
