- Martin· March 24th, 2025All tour was perfectly in line with what os advertised, local transport nice and clean and always on time, guides were real professionals with more than adequate knowledge of history. - LJLawrence· March 2nd, 2025I am so glad we booked our tour with A.B Worldwide Voyages ltd. They made sure everything ran smoothly for us and that we were well taken care of. We added before and after plans and they took care of everything. Their small group tour meant we had personalized service and could get around as a small group (our group was 4 of us) in a van. We beat the crowds and didn't have to deal with a large bus full of people. The guides were top notch and explained and educated us in everything we didn't know we needed to know. I would recommend the excursions and don't miss the ballon ride, Abu Sindel, I would highly recommend this tourShow moreAB Voyages Egypt commented on this reviewWe hope you had a fantastic experience with our service! - RORobert· February 28th, 2025The Magic of Egypt tour was a fantastic visual feast in experiencing Egyptian history and civilization. We were able to visit: 1) eight temples (including the optional ones); 2) the Giza pyramids and Sphinx; 3) three museums, (the new Grand, the Egyptian and the Egyptian Civilization); 4) three tombs in the Valley of the King; and 5) the Aswan Dam. We able to relax and dine on the Nile River cruise from Luxor to Aswan and participate in several optional activities, (the Luxor air balloon, Karnack Temple light show and Nubian Village visit). The tour would normally have a max of 12 persons but we were fortunate to have only one other couple, so the four of us felt it was very private and personal. We were fortunate to have Professor Nasir, who is an expert Egyptologist, for the Cairo pyramid and museum tours and Anas, who was a knowledgeable guide, for the temple and tomb tours from Luxor to Qena. The tour itinerary was efficiently fast-paced since we did opt to fly instead of taking the train or bus to our destinations. Thus, the three nights at the luxurious Swiss Inn resort in Hurgdada on the Red Sea was a much-needed relaxation at the end of the tour. Our friendly Cairo agent Tony picked us up at the airport on arrival. On our departure, he even offered to pick us up at the Cairo train station and take us to the airport after visiting Alexandria. We felt the agents and the guides were genuine in providing excellent service and taking care of our well-being and safety on this tour. We highly recommend this tour to experience Egypt.Show moreAB Voyages Egypt commented on this reviewWe hope you had a fantastic experience with our service! - CSP· February 28th, 2025Trip was well organized. All transfers went smooth to and from the places we visited. Tony did an excellent job with this. The guides were all excellent. Ayman, Anas, and Dr Nassar were all extremely knowledgeable and I thoroughly enjoyed my time with them. All the sites we visited were all explained in great detail and I had zero complaints. The cruise I thought was excellent and the ships were clean and well kept. This was my favorite part of the trip and was quite relaxing viewing the Nile from the top deck. The only small complaint was the Tolip in Cairo was very dated but clean. All in all I can recommend this tour and would do it again somtime.Show moreAB Voyages Egypt commented on this reviewWe hope you had a fantastic experience with our service! - Marie· February 26th, 2025We were incredibly fortunate to have a small group that got along well. My husband and I shared our tour with only two other people which was beyond fantastic. Not having to deal with 10 or more other people in the group was such a relief. We were all communicative, punctual, decisive and efficient in our excursions. The communication from the tour company was excellent and we felt cared for, safe and looked after for the entirety of our trip. The schedule was pretty busy, but I appreciated being able to see so many sites on this trip. Most sites had a lot of other tourists to contend with which made for some annoyances, i.e. young tourists more interested in fashion shoot selfies in front of pyramids rather than actually looking at and appreciating the beauty and history of what they were posing in front of! It did get exhausting, especially if you opted for the optional excursions. Those days had very little down time and could really wear on you if you didn't get quality sleep the night before. Our tour guide in Cairo, Nasser, was amazing. He was extremely knowledgeable and a pleasure to learn from. Our drivers were all excellent, but the drivers who took us around Cairo were exceptional! Managing the traffic in Cairo takes a certain level of skill and our drivers were adept at navigating the chaos quickly and safely. We upgraded to a 5 star hotel in Cairo and comparing notes with our fellow tourmates, it seems we made the right choice. We were at the Sofitel Hotel. The bed was comfortable, the service was excellent and the food was fabulous. The French bakery was the highlight of our stay. My husband said the spa was also very nice with a steam room and sauna available. The experience on the cruise ship was ok. There was no working jacuzzi on the ship and the pool was not heated. The exhaust fumes from the constantly running diesel engines can be overwhelming depending on which position your ship is docked in. The beds were very, very firm although I found by the 3rd night I was pretty used to it. The service in housekeeping and the dining room was also quite good, however the front desk wasn't particularly friendly. The food was not great by any means, but it was sufficient. They tended to use too much oil and there is no decaf coffee nor alternative milks (soy, coconut, oat, etc.) available. My only major complaint is that dinner didn't start until 8 pm so we skipped dinner most evenings. We heard that the Nubian Village excursion in Aswan was basically a set up to sell things to tourists and we were glad we chose not to go. The Dendara Temple was by far the best experience of the entire trip. There were very few tourists and crawling into the crypts was so incredibly fun. Our guides, Ayman and Asman, in Luxor, Aswan and Edfu were very good, perhaps not as knowledgeable as our guide in Cairo, but they were enthusiastic. In Hurghada, the resort is all-inclusive so the service was a bit lacking as most employees were not vying for tips. If you do tip them, they tend to pay more attention to you the next time they see you so it's well worth doing so in my opinion The sit-down restaurant service was especially poor so we chose the buffets after our first night because of that. The entertainment each evening is outside and very loud. Our balconies were right above where everyone gathered for nightly karaoke and other entertainment. It only went until 10:30 or 11 pm, but it was extremely loud and not pleasant to listen to. The beauty salon and massage therapists were relentless in trying to sell their services poolside. All the hard selling got to be very taxing. Ali in the oil/perfume shop in the lobby was the most pleasant surprise. He did not hard sell at all and worked his magic by just being kind and curious. I so appreciated his more laid back approach that I wanted to buy from him and did so a few days after meeting him. The spa is quite a ways away and nowhere near the lobby. You have to cross the street and walk through the villas. Once there, again it was like talking to a used car salesman with them pushing their services. You can get good deals, but you have to put up with the hard sell techniques. We did not do any excursions while in Hurghada as I was happy to just relax. We also did not have a guide in Hurghada but more of a handler/manager who booked excursions. You could also look on Viator and book something directly for probably less money. After Hurghada, we were back in Cairo, and back at the Sofitel Hotel. We had Nasser for a tour we custom-created to fill our last day in town before our late flight out. The day was excellent and due to the crowds we flipped our itinerary and it worked out beautifully where we had very small crowds at all our stops (Museum of Civilization, old Cairo Museum and Dashur/Saqqara). This was our second favorite day of the entire trip because of the smaller crowds. A few things that would be helpful is if the tour company advised you to bring plenty of smaller bills for all the tipping you will have to do, and put together a generic tipping suggestion chart for services like drivers, tour guides, hotel staff, bathroom attendants (you tip at almost all public and some private bathrooms). Also, if they warned us ahead of time of the men and women being separated into two different security lines at the Cairo Airport for our flight to Luxor that would have been nice to know. Also, if they made us aware of the people at all the airports who will aggressively try to take your luggage and whisk you to business class to cut line for a tip, that would have saved us a lot of aggravation. These people act like it is a necessity for them to help you and take you to the "right" place at the airport but they are ony looking for money. Just follow the signs and tell them all "no" or ignore them all. A lot of these are things Egyptians are used to and probably do not think of as something important to communicate, but they are very foreign to tourists from other countries and cultures and knowing about potential run-ins would be extremely helpful. All in all, I would highly recommend this tour company. I think they are pretty well organized and treat their customers with care and respect. The itinerary is aggressively-paced, but I was fine with it, but know many who would not be. All the important things were taken care of and that's what matters. If you are not smartphone savvy make sure you go with someone who is because you'll need to download WhatsApp to communicate with your guides and drivers and to receive transportation ticket information.Show moreAB Voyages Egypt commented on this reviewWe hope you had a fantastic experience with our service! - Margaret· February 13th, 2025Positives of this tour include the guides, especially Asan, the hotels in Luxor and Hurghada as well as our Nile Cruise accommodations were fantastic, and the transportation arrangements to and from the airport. We especially enjoyed the hot air balloon ride, it was incredible, and so worth the 4am departure. Negatives include the sleeper train ride. We were warned by the company, but decided to give it a go anyway, bad idea. Skip it. Also, since not all hotels are created equal, we would definitely upgrade to the highest level of accommodations next time.Show moreTrip date: February 2025
