- PLPhilippe· August 6th, 2024This is definitely is a beautiful and worthwhile bike tour. Prior to coming to Germany, I had done a 6day self guided cycling trip in Belgium and another in Holland. There is so much to see and do in the Rhine Valley, which might be best appreciated by taking a day off from cycling during the trip to do more visiting, prior to moving on. In hindsight, I considered this for Belgium and Holland, but would recommend it for the Rhine. Otherwise, the trip was well organized, Terranova was very responsive and pleasant and the bike rode well. I used the downloaded GPS files on an app with my phone attached to my handlebar. I don't know how using paper copies of maps would work but I imagine it would be quite challenging. It was hot and humid during my trip, higher 20s, which isn't crazy, but all the hotel rooms were very hot. Not sure if the higher standard hotels, I used the Bs, would have AC or functional AC, but if so ,I would consider this in the hot season. All and all, I loved the Rhine Valley and would recommend it.Show moreTrip date: July 2024
