- SRSuzanne· June 17th, 2022We waited for two years to enjoy this cruise! And yes...it was risky...even though vaccinated and boostered plenty of people got mild cases of Covid. We were coached on taking mask precautions...and for the most part we masked in the excursion buses and at buffet lines. But you get friendly with other diners and spend time with them in social settings not always masked. I thought Mihai/Mike was very attentive to people's health and safety. And was a FANTASTIC Cruise Director...the ship was always cleaned and inviting. The food was excellent and plentiful..as was the beverages! The excursions were without a doubt the best way to really see/get to know these countries...and conveniently! The Balkans have individual border rules, money and language! I cannot image doing it without enjoying the trip through cruising! Avalon...I will definitely cruise with you again!!!Show moreTrip date: May 2022

I don't remember the name of this castle, but it was very beautiful when lit-up at night and viewed from the river boat.
