We felt cared for and they were helpful. It was easy to get a ride for my partner and his bike with the luggage for 2 days. They were helpful in switching bikes from standard to e bikes, which made a huge difference. I was more than happy with the organisation and communication with Authentic Trails.Show more
- Michael· October 25th, 2024Authentic Trails arranged an excellent cycling tour and was very responsive via WhatsApp. There were a few minor glitches where transfers or other agents we were to meet had our tour operator as ViniTours instead of Authentic Trails and my middle name in place of my last name, we didn't know what vehicle to look for and the driver didn't know who to look for. A little more detail such as the person to ask for in a store, or vehicle license plate/make/model would've smoothed things out more. Overall we were very pleased with the itinerary, the hotels, the included meals and activities and the service and would enthusiastically recommend Authentic Trails and our Porto to Lisbon bike tour.Show more
- Judith· October 20th, 2024Well it wasn't the trip we expected! An accident early on day 1 resulted in a day in hospital and we could not continue the cycling. However Authentic Trails were wonderful at looking after us and enabled us to continue the itinerary with transfers. The initial briefing was thorough so that when we needed emergency assistance we could find it. The emergency phone line was helpful, and the team kept in contact regularly via phone calls and whatsapp to ensure that we had the help we needed. They did a lot to help keep the injured party as comfortable as possible, and found ways to enrich our visits to the various places on the itinerary. We would unhesitatingly book with them again, knowing that should the worst happen again, we would be in helpful hands. Our experience of the Portuguese medical services was also good - long waits, but appropriate and thorough care. Accidents happen, but if they do, this is a good company to be with!Show more
