This is advertised as a hiking trip. THIS IS NOT A HIKING TRIP. Of the 6 nights/7 days we only did 2, 4hr hikes. The other ‘hikes’ were walking up the path for 30 mins to Mt Vesuvius, and back down. Going to Pompei and walking around the ruins for a few hours. And lastly, going to Capri and walking on the cement path around a bit of the island. Luckily the trip was still fun and beautiful because of the destination we chose. The coast is obviously a beautiful area to visit. But there was no need to do this as a tour. The accommodations were mediocre. And in Agerola we were in a hotel way up the mountain not even close to where we needed to start our 2 hikes. It didn’t make sense for us but the hotels were probably cheaper so they made more profit. Lots of long bus rides. Also the office help was lax to give us our documents (one week out) even though we booked many months out. I do not recommend this company. They are an umbrella for ‘Africa Tour Co.’ I’ve done several bike trips and a walking trip. This was the only one that I would not recommend to others. Happy travels !!

Self guided tour, so yes, we were great tour leaders! All accommodations were organized and easy. Transfers and pick up times were good. There was a mix up at the end with Mnt Vesuvius - itinerary said go to location can get tickets, then the night before we got a call to say we need to book reservations online. The reservations were full so we couldn't get in, We took the time to drive there hoping to get in, but were turned away. We need had to come back the next day (after tour, on our "free time") to go to Vesuvius. We ended up wasting valuable time due to mistake. All that was offered was a transfer to go make, which doesnt make up for the loss of time and mix up. Over all, we had a great time - after all its ITALY - whats not to love!

The arrangements were faultless. The weather let us down one day, but then it is late November. Capri is a jewel to behold.

The self-guided tour was great! We loved the flexibility to go when we wanted and not be in a large group. The planning and packet of materials was very, very helpful! We would suggest a few slight improvements. Hiking days should be a bit more spread out, especially when hot. We would suggest for 6 days, only 3 hikes, not 4. Go every other, with tours of museums or Pompeii or boat trips in between. So many lovely places on the Amalfi coast. We also thought the app was a little tricky, didn’t download on all devices, and wasn’t as informative as the written materials. Nice idea, especially if emergency help was needed! But not necessary. And finally Agerola is a bit far from everything. We would suggest accommodations closer to the start or finish of the hikes. Staff and food was Fantastic at Hotel Risorgimento, we really appreciated the kindness and fresh delicious 3 course meals each night! However, Rooms were basic, and town was lacking for three nights, and long bus rides after long days were very tiring. Hotel Mignon in Sorrento however, is a gem! Perfect location!! Beautiful, clean, fresh rooms with a/c, frig, terrace, amazing breakfast and fabulous staff. Keep up the Great Work! Transport was also fantastic through out the week. So, overall we were very happy! Thank you!
