- ACheryl & Tom Harmon· January 17th, 2020We liked the flexibility you offered, small groups and opportunity to personalize our experience with more activity (walks, hikes, etc.) The hotels were all good. We did become frustrated with Quixote over time because they didn’t provide us with queen beds (gave us twins) and the Donhausers on our last night in Calafarte had a terrible room. We did like this hotels location; we could walk to everything. The Bariloche hotel (5 star) was terrific; great location and services. We really enjoyed Bariloche – such a beautiful place! And our guide (Lorena?) was excellent; we had a great day with her (and only one other couple from Puerto Rico), even though we couldn’t hike in the forests due to the wind, she showed many beautiful places. The brewery visit with snacks and tastings was very fun. We also loved El Chartan – such a unique place and we enjoyed hiking locally – there were lots of opportunities for short hikes too. Our adorable B & B was terrific; the hostess was so accommodating, the breakfasts were delicious, and it was a great location too. Regarding guides, as I said Lorena was great. We also loved our tour of Buenos Aires with Tina; Buenos Aires is such a beautiful and large city with so many parks and memorable places (the mausoleum, La Boca, Teatro Colon, etc). I appreciated that the tour buses were always on time (or early) and the drivers were accommodating. Thanks also for getting us to the departing airport on time and sharing with us your perspective on all things Argentinian. The trip exceeded my expectations! Thank you! - AClaudio Martin· January 17th, 2020Everything was organized well and efficiently from start to finish. L'Hotel is my favorite- picteresque, good location, friendly staff. The best excursion was the Estancia Cristina hike through Canyon of Fossils. Beautiful scenery with views of glacier from the boat and 1st part of the hike, then the canyon with the spectacular rock colors and fossils. Last part through valley, not so exciting but we did come across a herd of horses. It was a great physical activity, not too strenous or difficult but just right! It was a great trip. I will make a post on TripAdvisor. - ACatriona and Steve Gorton· January 17th, 2020It was lovely meeting you and we wish to thank you and all the team for organising everything so well and efficiently. Please find following answers to your questions We have always liked using travel agents in the country we are visiting because of their knowledge of their own country and all funds being spent go direct to the country we are visiting. Your prompt responses to our emails and suggestions were a major reason for our using your company. All drivers and guides were punctual and the cars were of very good quality. The English of the guides was excellent, especially Victor, and his driver Eduardo, in Bariloche. Our guides and driver in Buenos Aires and Uruguay were also very good. It was a fantastic holiday and it was made much easier with Say Hueque’s organisation. Many thanks. - AJay and Louise Hecht· January 17th, 2020Our hightlights have been the Iquazu Falls and the P. Moreno Glacier. We have to favorite hotels - Toss up between the Jasy in Iquazu and the Pudu Lodge in El Chaltan. We liked the size of the rooms, the tranquility and the locations (quiet in the country) were very nice plus the balcony of the Jasy hotel. Our favorite exucrions have been to Iquazu Falls and the Mendoza wineries. The falls were spectacular, and the wineries were very pleasant out in the country. Winery experience different from wineries in the United States. Also the P. Moreno Glacier. Besides Patty, we enjoyed our guide in Bariloche (Frederico)but all guides were very knowledgeable. We particularly liked Frederico's enthusiasm for nature and his knowledge of Argentina's history, politics, geography, etc. A page or two for us "English" speaking tourists, of useful phrases in the countries we visited would be useful. IE Bon Dia (good day) in Brazil, thank you, etc. And a page on paragraphs of common customs. what to expect, etc. in each country (what is polite, nor not polite, etc). Jay and I give Say Hueque excellent grades for putting together a perfectly paced and interesting itinerary. We felt the amount of time at each place was appropriate. We felt safe the entire time, and understood that it could be a challenge. We thought the locations of the hotels were excellent!!! Close to everything we needed, clean and comfortable. We particularly liked meeting Patty in person and enjoyed sharing WHAT's APP pictures. The gift (bottle of wine) was delicious and thoughtful. We will post our comments on trip advisor as well, and recommend Say Hueque to any one we know that may be interested in going to South America. - APatrick Kiernan· January 17th, 2020Overall I had great trip. Thank you so much. My two highlights were the Perito Moreno Glacier and El Chalten. I loved this town and the nearby hikes were very enjoyable. I felt the number of days I had here (4) was perfect. My favorite Hotel was the Ranche Grande in El Chalten. It had a comfortable layout and friendly staff. The excursion to the Perito Moreno Glacier was really beautiful. I also enjoyed the excursion to the national park near Ushuaia. The guide was very friendly and fun. The canoeing, lunch and hike were all great. Also this excursion had some people my age compared to excursions. The guide during the national park excursion near Ushasia was great. Unfortunately I don't remember his name. The flight from Ushasia to Bariloche took about 7 hours as it stopped in El Calafate on the way and there was no food or snacks served during this time. Only drinks on the second flight. Maybe worth advising future customers of this. I wouldn't recommend the trip to Victoria island near Bariloche. It is very small and they spend 3 hrs on the island. The guided walk was only in Spanish. The second part of this excursion to the forest was nice as we had an English speaking guide and left straight after the walk. I wouldn't recommend the boat trip from Bariloche to Puerto Varas. There are too many changes from boat to bus. - AGerard Drewes· January 17th, 2020We loved Argentina! We choose you for the good recommendation on Trip Advisor and lack of time to do our own planning ;) The booking process was very easy and interactive. Regarding hotels, we loved: Melia Iguacu and Kau Yatun and we wound OK: Hosteria Puma and Ilum Experience. Our favorite excursion were BA walking tour and BA bike tour, they were both great! Both Iguacu days with Diego were nice but would say that Iguacu does not really require a guide as one goes with the crowds. Still useful for the trip to Brazil. Our Favourite memories were biking BA, hiking Laguna de Los Tres in nice weather and staying in the Melia with early morning visits to the falls and having cocktails with Falls view in the evening. If we need to mention a guide, Agostina from SayHueque and Martin from Biking BA were both really great. We need to mention that we did not like the Southern Spirit Trek in El Calafate. Almost all the time was spent in transit on the bus and inside the boat or waiting. We had only 45 minutes at Perito Moreno which is a bit of a joke given the tour lasted for 9 hours. Also, we enjoyed La Ventura tango show but felt it was a bit too touristic, so we wondered if more authentic ways exist to experience tango (maybe not)Show moreSay Hueque Argentina & Chile Journeys commented on this reviewWe are happy that you loved Argentina, is such a beautiful country! - AEdward Shakin· January 17th, 2020We had a wonderful trip and really enjoyed your country. Regarding the hotels, we really liked the Vain. The people there went out of their way to be helpful. We also liked the location. The excursions were nice. We most enjoyed the glacier hike. The guide Flor in Buenos Aires was excellent. We also liked our glacier hike guide, but have lost track of his name. It would be better if we had a single rep pre-trip instead of switching once we agreed to book. I also would prefer ala carte pricing, so we could better decide which services to buy and which to handle ourselves.Show moreSay Hueque Argentina & Chile Journeys commented on this reviewHello! - AKatherine Wingfield Barry· January 17th, 2020All of the excursions were fantastic. I booked all of our accommodations independently. For what it is worth, our one-night stay at the Recoleta Grand was a disappointment. I did not like hotel and would not recommend it. Though not especially convenient to the “downtown” area of Bariloche, we did love the views of the Charming Inn. All of the excursions were fantastic. I don’t think we had a favorite. I am very pleased that Lette added the chairlift ride to our ¼ day hike. The views were amazing. All 3 of our guides - Agostina (BA), Lette (Bariloche), and Emmy (Tigre River cruise guide - not a Say Hueque employee) were amazing. All were super knowledgeable, kind, accommodating, warm, friendly - excellent ambassadors for Argentina. We spent the most time with Agostina who I found especially thoughtful, so she will always have a special place in my heart. Wasn’t sure how I felt about the river cruise before we went, but it was terrific and I’m glad we did it. We’ve been following the Boca/River Plate soccer drama! What a nightmare!Show moreSay Hueque Argentina & Chile Journeys commented on this reviewHi! Wow! Thanks for this generous and detailed review. - AElaine Boaz· January 17th, 2020Before any memories start to fade, we wanted to let you know right away what a fabulously planned trip we had. Before our trip, we had lots of questions and concerns about how the arrangements would be made. The day by day itinerary, along with the overview itinerary, were extremely useful tools. Every single organization that Say Hueque worked with did exactly what was outlined in our itinerary every single time. We never had to wait for someone to show up. We never arrived somewhere unexpected. All the arrangements were handled smoothly and efficiently. Throughout the trip we talked about how impressed we were with your work. Thank you for making this trip to a fascinating part of the world absolutely joyful. We were able to immerse ourselves in the beauty of the Patagonian area without needing worrying about mundane travel details. We know our time in Patagonia was enhanced due to the all the work you did to make our trip a success. We send you heart filled thanks.Show moreSay Hueque Argentina & Chile Journeys commented on this reviewYou have made our day with such lovely feedback! - AGerry & Linda McCarthy· January 17th, 2020Long journeys always throw up 'lemons' (sour experiences), but Say Hueque makes them into lemonade... To be serious vacation time is so precious its worth getting local help to smooth the way and Say Hueque have this off to an art. The driver who took us to the Tango club was the perfect host, and yet this was just one of many transfers. Say Hueque guides and drivers are great - Select travel not so much. But to be fair they kept us safe and tried to be helpful, and we did get to the airport on time. Favourite hotel has to be 'Soho' in Buenos Aires - excellent because the girls are so thoughtful (they even had spare SUBE cards on offer). The location is also very elegant, and we wish we had stayed there longer. Best excursion? The Sunset Kayak trip displays the magic of Bariloche perfectly. We enjoy Argentina and are looking forward to returning. I need to learn more Spanish!Show moreSay Hueque Argentina & Chile Journeys commented on this reviewWe will be very happy to host you one more time in this wonderful country, you still have lots to see!
