- AMarianne Opperud· January 17th, 2020We just loved the North of Argentina. We had a very good driver/guide (Santiago) who was explaining a lot and who was speaking very good english. Very good accommodations, specially Villa Vicuña in Cafayate and also Posta de Purmamarca. In Salta the Bloomers was OK (specially the breakfast was very good), but Antiguo Convento was much better. In San Pedro I don’t know why we choosed Tambillo in the first place. It was really a disaster. When we came back it did not seemed like it was going to change very much. Thank you so much for moving us to Don Raul which was very, very nice. Unfortunatly we did not choose this hostal from the beginning. San Pedro is an extremely touristic place. The little town is full of backpackers, so we felt a bit old here (haha), but now we have seen it and that’s it. The so called center (downtown) was nicely refurbished though and there were some real good restaurants. Good value for money even if the whole place seems to be a bit overprized (which is normal for such a touristic place). The Moon Valley trip was very nice, the Geysir trip so and so. The Geysir area we saw on the Uyuni trip was much more impressive though. The Uyuni trip was great. We were lucky with our group and the driver was excellent (Valerio). He was explaining a lot and even if he was talking only spanish we were able to understand quite a lot (with our limited spanish knowledges). In our group there was a french guy who spoke spanish so he translated a lot too. I am glad we choose 4 days/ 3 nights for this trip. It was so much to see. The accomodations for the first 2 nights was much better than expected, the last night was more what we expected. The food was also much better than expected. I think it is good that you prepare the guests that the standard can be quite poor. We were positivly surprised. I would do the trip again but I would depart from Argentina. So evrything worked out very well and once again we had a great trip to South America and hope to be back soon again. There is still a lot to see.Show moreSay Hueque Argentina & Chile Journeys commented on this reviewHi! Wow! We are very thankful for your generous and detailed review. - AAki Kuwahara· October 24th, 2019Trip across Argentina, Chili and Southern Bolivia - SayHueque managed this excellently. While visiting many new places in three different countries, coordination among different sub-agents was one of our biggest concern. SayHueque managed this excellently. We are satisfied with all the hotels chosen by SayHueque. The four-day tour to Uyuni Salt Flat was by far the most exciting and memorable excursion. We also would like to mention Patty in Buenos Aires. Thank you for taking care of us even after we left Buenos Aires. Your prompt replies to my email from Chile was really reassuring.Show moreSay Hueque Argentina & Chile Journeys commented on this reviewWhat a touching feedback! - ATheo van der Linden· October 24th, 2019Guides gave lots of information, in Spanish and English and full of humor! I would say our highlight were the good guides who gave lots of information. We only stayed in e one hotel, the Don Tomas hotel in San Pedro. We had short excursions and one large: the three day 4wd to Uyuni. The El Tunio exursions was great. Early to get up but worth it. The 4wd tour was awesome with highlights and depths (the overnight stay in the refugee: ‘basic’ accommodation was an understatement). Although an experience, it took many hours to recover from it. I forgot the name of the guide to the El Tunio geysers – he was awesome (I believe he is an San Pedro artist). He gave lots of information, in Spanish and English and full of humor!Show moreSay Hueque Argentina & Chile Journeys commented on this reviewThank you for such nice feedback! - AAlice and Matt Whittingtom· October 24th, 2019The variety that was offered on our tour suited us very well. The Salar de Uyuni at sunrise was truly a unique place. The 4WD trip through Bolivia was amazing. It's like a different planet up there and was a real experience. The Salar de Uyuni at sunrise was fantastic on the 4WD tour. Truly a unique place. We really enjoyed the hotel in Purmurmarca - Hotel El Manantial del Silencio. It had real character and drinking Argentinian red wine by the open fireplace was lovely. All our guides were very good and were friendly and welcoming. Eddie, our 4WD driver did not speak English which made it a bit hard to converse with, but we were lucky enough to be travelling with an Austrian family who were able to relay information to us. The guides for the Tatio geysers and the Humahuaca day tour were very good at relaying everything in Spanish and English. Sorry - but I can't recall their names! Just one suggestion: It would be worth noting to people that not all services run every day and this needs to be confirmed for the requested dates. This didn't put us out too much as we got to spend an extra day in the North of Argentina, but we may have shifted our internal flights around a bit have we known the bus didn't run on a daily basis.Show moreSay Hueque Argentina & Chile Journeys commented on this reviewThanks so much for taking the time and share your experience with us. - AJennifer and Glen Revell· October 24th, 2019We had a great time. Thank you for organizing this trip! Firstly the trip was fabulous and we had a great time. Most things went really well and we had no problems. Extremely disappointed that the 4WD trip across from San Pedro de Atacama to Uyuni in Bolivia was with a guide who only spoke Spanish. We understood that the trip had an English speaking guide. We received no information about anything relating to the area we crossed, except by some bits of translation from some French tourists who were also travelling with us. But as English is not their first language (and it wasn’t their job) we missed all the details relating to the salt flats and the lakes etc. on the way. Also, given the amount of money we spent on our tour, it would have been better for us to have been put on a tour where there was always hot/cold running water and heating. The refuge would have been fine, provided that other accommodation was not available, but having to stay with no heating and in a room of six people, where only four sleeping bags were provided, was not good. Some of the information given to us was incorrect. Where the information provided for San Pedro that we would be collected from our hotel for the Moon Valley tour was not correct and as a result we missed the tour. We were supposed to go to the office of the tour company, but this information was not provided to us. Luckily they contacted us at the hotel and arranged for us to go on the tour the next day, but it jammed up against the other tour which was organized to the geysers. The locations of most hotels was great and most of the hotels were very comfortable and very friendly. The rest was very good and we thank you for organizing this trip and hope you understand this feedback may help you with making the trip more enjoyable for others.Show moreSay Hueque Argentina & Chile Journeys commented on this reviewThank you very much for taking the time to provide us with detail feedback. For many years now, we have been advising our passengers that Uyuni is a remote and lesser-developed area, with basic accommodation and that during the 4×4 adventure, passengers... - LPLuis· January 21st, 2018This is really an excellent tour. I loved the city of Salta, the tours around San Pedro de Atacama and, finally, the three journeys in Bolivia ending with the impressive Salar de Uyuni. Do not expect luxuries but the nature is really worth the while. The people from the Say Hueque travel agency were thoughtful and careful about the detailsShow moreSay Hueque Argentina & Chile Journeys commented on this reviewHi Luis!! - PKPatricia· August 20th, 2016This trip is an experience of a lifetime. Starting from Argentina going trough Chile and ending ib Bolivia, you will see the most beautiful landscape you have ever seen. You have just to know a few thing about this tour. It is not always the same tour company that you are traveling with. In each place it's an other one. It's not really a problem but it's surprising when you don't know it. The transportations were good only the bus from Salta to San Pedro de Atacama was freezing cold and not really comfortable, you have to be prepared for it. And then the tour in the Uyuni desert was my highlight. You are in an adventure abd it's amazing. You only have to be aware of the height in wich we are traveling (going to 4900m.) and the fact that it's a really basic acomodation during two nights. If you want to have incredible memories and that you like adventure this tour is for you!Show moreSay Hueque Argentina & Chile Journeys commented on this reviewPatricia!
